"Another kid, Steve Fink turned up dead, both went to the same high school however they have no relation or even know each other that well, as said by fellow students. The police are prioritising this case to catch the maniac and the school is closing for the last few months and will be open again at the beginning of the next school year. Students are encouraged to switch schools but are not obligated as there are only 5 weeks left of school. To all parents, keep a close eye and lock your doors."
"Did you know him well?" I ask my son Sam.
"Not really, he was one of those wannabe popular guys."
"Douche?"
"Kind of."
"Do I have to switch your schools or do you want a long summer?"
"What do you think."
"Fair enough, but I still have to work and I don't know if I feel you're safe home by yourself."
"I have Lizzy."
"Your sister doesn't get a long summer, she's not in high school yet."
"Dad I'll be fine I'll lock the doors and close the windows and such."
"Windows break."
"What are the chances that some guy is going to go after me? I'm sure if I lock the doors it'll be fine."
"Fine, I'll see if your mother can come home early from work until summer just to assure your safety."
"That's fine."I got up and went into the kitchen to find my wife making dinner, I tell her about the conversation and she said she'd ask if she can get off early. I walk back into the other room and tell Sam the plan. I remind him to stay safe and such and he agrees.
