Are we supposed to act like everything is OK, even when it's not?

THIRD PERSON'S POV:

The two young boys stared at each other intensively, and even though it was only for a few seconds it felt like eternity. The boy sitting on the swing was confused on the sudden appearance of the tall thin boy, whom perhaps was more concerned about what in the world was the boy swinging on a swing in the middle of the night.

Harold broke the stare feeling slight insecure about the way the young boy was looking through him, as if he was trying to find the pain and exhaustion that were lost in his eyes. He landed his eyes on the muddy ground which had no grass no flowers, just dirt. He sighed, and felt as if he knew everything the lifeless ground felt like. He knew how it felt like to have no colours in you life. Black, grey and pale were just the colours he was used to, and he sure wasn't the biggest fan of them.

While young boy Harold was staring at the ground, as if it was the most interesting thing ever, the tall guy whose name was, Simon, just stared at the boy with a mixture of confusion and interest.

Confusion for what he was doing in this park all by himself in the middle of the night, without any worry to go home or any worry about a stranger standing infront of him could kill him here right in this spot and he had no worry.

Interest for why was he even here at the fist place and why was he not afraid of the shit happening around him.

There was complete silence. It was so quiet that the sound of crickets could be heard. Literally. But it was rather a comfortable silence. Simon wanted to investigate about this young boy and decided to break the silence,as he moved a little further to the swing next to the young boy.

"Hey" Simon said in a voice between interest and courage.

His deep voice made the boy jump as he looked to his left, only to find a pair of majestic eyes matched with a slight smirk on his face.

"Um, hi?" Harold asked in complete confusion. Not just the fact he was now sitting beside him, but why the hell was he even talking with him?

"What are you doing here, in the middle of the night all alone, all by yourself?" Simon said with a wide smirk and the most flirty voice.

"None of you your business perv"  Harold said rolling his eyes

"Hey that's no way to talk to your daddy now is it baby"

"WTF, since when were you my daddy and I was your baby?"

"Since now"

"No thank you"

"What's your name?"

"Yeah ok bye" Harold said as he stood up from the swing and started to walk away from Simon.  He reached the footpath and the feeling of that same guy following him gave him anxiety and he turned around only to meet an empty swing.

He left.
