Flick of a switch

Chapter 18

I got my jumper on and we walked out the hospital, walking home. When we got to the end of our street Ian stopped "I'm going to head to yours to get my stuff and the pills then I'm going to head home, see what's going on at that madhouse okay?" He smiled and I nodded, replying with "yeah sure." As he started to walk away I grabbed his wrist lightly, making him turn around.

"Thanks for coming with me today and well being there when.. well you know." I smiled softly and he pulled me into a hug, resting his chin on my head due to me being smaller than him. I put my arms around his waist and we stood there for a minute or two until he pulled away and I handed him my key. "I will be at the Alibi for the key." Ian nodded and walked to the house as I walked to the Alibi. I walked in as the bell rang above my head and I took a seat.

"A coke please Kev" I say and smile and he poured it and gave it to me "everything went to plan then?"
"Yup" I smile and take a sip, then the bell rang to signal someone entering rang and Ian walked in. He walked over to me and put the key on the bar in front of me and kissed me on the cheek. "Thanks babe." And walked back out. I smiled lightly and as I turned back to talk to Veronica, I caught a glimpse of Mickey, jealousy present in his eyes.

I conversed with Veronica and we talked for a while and I finally finished 2 drinks and I thought that was enough and it was getting pretty late so I said goodbye to people and walked home. I unlocked the door and locked the door behind me. I walked up to my room and put an oversized shirt on to go to sleep. I laid on my bed and nearly as soon as my head hit the pillow, sleep took over me.
