It's awful.

Working with these people, looking at that person, pretending that we're all friends... it makes me uncomfortable.

Kai and Lianna keep sending each other death glares, Aidan won't even look at me and me?

I don't even know what we're doing...

We've gotten no work done cause Kai and Lianna can't even decide on a topic an Aidan doesn't even want to contribute to this project, I don't even know what to do. Do I side with Lianna or do I side with Kai? It's all so confusing...

All of sudden, Aidan abruptly arises from his seat, heading straight for the door. But this time, because I'm ready I decide to stop him.

"Hey..." I start, but Aidan keeps on walking.

"Come on, Aidan don't be like that." But even after saying that, he continues to walk out the door.

"Aidan?" Suddenly, Aidan seems more eager to get out the door.

"Aidan, STOP!" I shout in frustration and much to my surprise, he stops dead in his tracks. I thought it was weird he'd actually listened to me but I didn't really mind.

"Sit back down." I ordered.

When he actually went back down and sat in his chair, everyone started staring at him in disbelief, he himself was shocked.

"Let's just continue this project, shall we?" Aidan asks, clearly trying to ignore what happened.

It was all so weird, when he actually listened to me. Lianna just went silent and Kai asked him if he was okay five times. (not that I was actually counting or anything). Then an unsettling silence was bestowed upon us, no one dared to speak, the silence was like a curse we couldn't break because of our hatred for one another. The silence was like poison, choking our words, so that there were no words to speak again.

That needed to change.

"Lianna, are you free on Sunday?"

"Yeah, why"

"Kai? What about you?"

"Yup."

"Ai-"

"YES."

"Lydie." Lianna says sternly. I turn and face her trying to look as innocent as possible.

"What ever you're attempting...It won't work."

"Still going to attempt it anyway." I mutter. Then I turn towards the two boys and start to give them The Look. Their eyes immediately widen, and the colour from their faces suddenly begins to drain. Good, they should be scared.

"YOU ARE ALL INVITED TO A SLEEPOVER HOSTED BY YOURS TRULY ON SUNDAY. BE THERE OR BE DEAD. Seriously though, if you're not there I'll kill you myself. See you later guys!"

I quickly run out of the room, before they had time to respond. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just really evil or too cunning. Eh, it's not like it matters... I'm still me either way.

I walked across the lonely car park, searching for my car but I hear footsteps behind me. But when I turn around there's nothing to be found. I ignore the feeling of being followed and search for my car once more. But something grabs me and I am struck with a heavy object.

Then, the darkness comes.

Aidan's PoV

After staring at the doorway in disbelief, me and Kai decide to come up with a master plan to talk Lydie out of this crazy idea of a sleepover. We quickly hurry to catch up with Lydie and leave Lianna behind, but I'm sure she'll come running along as well.

When we arrived in the car pack, Lydie is nowhere to be found. Her car is still here, it's as if it was never touched. Kai looks around, and then he picks something up... Lydie's car keys he also finds a drop of blood on the ground.

Lianna, who finally caught up with us, reaches out for her cell phone and Kai does the same I look at them both, eager for an answer, a sign to say that she's okay. I turn towards Lianna, who has suddenly dropped her phone, she looks at me and shakes her head. I then turn to Kai, my pleading eyes practically burning a hole through his face. His face then lights up and he says,

"Lydie?"

I sigh in relief, she's okay. I hear Lianna sigh too, I guess she also cares about Lydie. Wait, what am I saying? I don't care about Lydie at all. That all-knowing, cunning woman almost gave me a heart attack! I'm so overwhelmed that I don't even hear Kai talking about Lydie on the phone.

"Huh? Lydie just went out? Without her phone?"

That's odd. Lydie never leaves her phone behind, that all-knowing woman is always prepared for everything...

"Oh well. Can you tell her we called?"

Lianna and I curiously wait for Kai to end his call, something fishy is going on and I bet it has something to do with the person Kai is speaking to right now.

"Who was that, Kai?

"Lydie's father, he says that she's gone out to buy some medicine because she's sick."

Suddenly, my face begins to pale, so does Lianna's.

"What is it...?"

Millions of scenarios run through my head, but I can only see the same ending. Lianna clears her throat.

"Kai."

I try to dial every number possible,  anyone who has seen her, anyone who knows where she is, I don't even care, I just need someone, I need to know she's safe. She still owes us that much, she stills owes us that sleepover and we need her, she's the only one that can keep us together. Heck, she keeps me from falling apart.

"Kai. Lydie's father died when she was 3."
