Word Count: 381
Bishop's Point of View********
I ran until my legs were burning like a wild fire. They stung. I looked back, panicked that they were taunting me by hiding. I felt my heart start to slow to its normal pace - that was until I got tackled.
My adrenaline rushed. It flowed wildly and my heart felt like it would leap from my chest and skip away.
I squirmed in his grip before a warm red substance touched my arm.
The wet liquid surprised me as it flowed on my stomach. The wolf that had tackled me had just been killed.
By a red headed beauty.
Her sky blue eyed gleamed and her red wavy haired lapped at her face.
"I've heard about you. Your Bishop right? I'm Maya." She said and clicked her dagger in her belt holder and held her hand out.
Nodding wearily I met her hand and we shook on it.
"Bishop. Cool name. Unique yet strong sounding. I don't really know how to say it but I feel a bond with you." I felt it too but I just nodded.
"Friends?" She asked with a toothy smile. My body acted on its own and my head nodded.
I smiled to myself at the memory. She will always be in my memory.
"Maybe our paths will cross again one day." I mumbled to myself.
I looked to the sky wishing for an answer from goddess but I was given an empty sky and shouting.
My heart sped up, my eyes became saucers, and my wolf started to growl and pace in my mind.
But then the scent hit me. It was pine with some...I can't place it.
I looked around for it only for my eyes to meet deep sea blue ones staring at me in disbelief.
He was a masterpiece. I wouldn't trade him in for any other. Because he was mine.
Then yet my brain brought back my vow to never submit and I mentally fought myself as I realized I was surrounded. Then I heard the words I dreaded as his deep handsome voice spoke sending shivers up and down my spine.
"Mate."
