My nose itched.
I slowly opened my eyes, and realized my heart was pounding incredibly hard, and it felt like there was a huge weight on my chest. I was staring at something dark, something moist, and something vaguely green...?
I opened my eyes wider and realized I was staring at grass.
And the grass was close enough to my face that it was tickling my nose.
But get this: David just threw me out of my bedroom window and I thought I was going to hit the ground.
Nope!
I was hovering above the ground.
My body, back side up, was facing the ground, my arms and legs spread out. And I was floating above the ground.
I started to scream.
I wasn't terrified or something, I was more of shocked. I mean, it's not everyday you get thrown out your window and realize that you can fly, right?!
I heard David call my name and then heard some doors slamming. I was in no mood to talk to him right now, not after what he just did to me.
I kicked the grass with one foot and managed to stand up, feet firmly on the ground. I caught my breath, and then, jumped up towards the sky, and felt myself slowly floating up, not even falling back to the ground. Soon, I had risen above my house and was inching closer and closer to the warm sky.
I could fly.
