It was early in the morning when the group finally got to Harpursville, and made their way to king Lucien's home. It wasn't large, but rather a small cottage. It had a tiny field that seemed to be a farm. Raze knocked. It was quiet for a few minutes and Raze banged on the door harder.

"Go away!" Lucien yelled.

"King Lucien, please allow us to come in to come in!" Skull called.

The door cracked opened a little. "King? I haven't been called that in seventeen years..." a deep, yet kind voice said.

"Please. We ran away from our owner looking. we need your help," Praxus said.

"Owner?"

"We were assassins, but we can't do it anymore." Raze said in his normal monotone.

The door opened and a man looking to be in his late thirties, almost forties, with gray streaked dark brown hair, pale skin and light blue eyes greeted them. He aged rather well, all things considered. Lucien moved out of the way of the door.

"Hurry up and get inside!"

The seven teens comply and go inside. The older of the group had a guard up, just in case. Lucien closed the door, which had six locks of different kinds. He went to the windows and closed some kind of metal curtains and covered the door.

"You were assassins??" Lucien asked.

"That's what I said. Hard of hearing already old man?" Raze muttered harshly.

"Watch it kid!" Lucien warned sternly.

"Lucien, my love, what is with the yell-" a young woman froze in the door frame of the bedroom, she had tan skin, onyx eyes and long curly blond hair.

"Violeta not now," Lucien said.

"I thought your wife died...?" Jace said.

"She is my second wife. Violeta, please go back to bed..."

Violeta softened, she nodded in understanding, then looked at a blue door with an apprehensive look. "Take them to the basement, I don't want them waking up the baby."

Raze's eyes widened. Baby...? Wait. Why am I bothered by that? He has the right to remarry. His wife has been dead for a long time.

Lucien pushed a hand through his hair. "Okay."

The former king when toward the cellar door. He opened the door, ushering the assassins into the basement... the house was just a cover. The basement was massive.

"I hold meetings for the rebellion down here."

"Rebellion?" Midnight piped up, shocking everyone. This was the first time anyone had heard her speak.

"You kids think you're the only ones who thought of rebelling?" Lucien asked with an amused smirk. His family crest could be seen on the back of his neck.

Blink saw it and gapped. She had seen the same crest on... Oh my God... how is that possible!

"We lose people every other day though..." Lucien murmured.

"So will you help us or not?" Raze grumbled.

Lucien gave him a stern look. "I will help you, however if you continue to be a little git I won't."
