[Featherfall's POV]
I saw my daughter go out of camp and she hadn't returned for a while. I thought I should go and check it out while everyone was distracted by Angelwing's kitting. I headed out into the forest quickly wanting to know where my kit went. I found her scent and followed after it. I hoped that nothing bad had happened to her. Meanwhile, I was thinking about my other two kits.
They both had mates. Dustyleap had Burninghope and Flyblaze had Summerstripe. Only one of them had kits so far. I wondered if I would have any other grandkits to look after. I was hoping I would but I also didn't want to rush them. I knew right now was a bad time to be a queen when the Dark Forest was planning to attack at any time. They could be waiting until after of the attacks are done. I also knew that they could just not want kits. Not everyone did. Burninghope was a young warrior so I wasn't going to push the shecat.
Then there was Airwing. I knew she was different. She didn't really like to talk to the toms and didn't make many friends either. I had been worried about her when she was a it and she didn't play much, but I gave up once she became an apprentice. She was always with her mentor or her brothers. I didn't think she would ever find a mate. She seemed that she didn't want a mate either.
As I found out I was getting closer to her scent, I smelled lots and lots of blood with it. I felt my stomach flip and turn as I didn't want to go closer. I could find my only daughter dead. I faced my fears and slowly crept toward the scent. I wasn't going to go as fast at the moment since I was scared. I loved that shecat and I was truly scared she was dead.
I saw the scene. There was blood splattered everywhere. There wasn't a place I could step that I wouldn't get blood on me. I stayed near the bush that seemed to not have too much blood around it and looked. I couldn't find a body but I found plenty of fur and guts to make up a cat.
"Oh, are you admiring my work? Want to join it?" A hiss came from the shadows. It made my skin crawl and feel like bugs where in it.
"Did you do this to Airwing? Why?" I hissed at the air not sure where the voice was coming from.
"She was going to report me. She knew something was wrong. She was the one that saw through the crack. Now, you have too and I can't have anyone knowing this is happening again." The shadow hissed and I felt something. It was making my stomach flip. Literally.
Next thing I know, I was in StarClan. Below me, the scene where my daughter was killed had fresh blood on it. My blood.
