Chapter 25

[Thorntail's POV]

I looked as Thawpuddle's kits crowded around me. I was relaxing in the shade. I should be becoming an elder soon but I felt pushing since we needed warriors at the moment, not elders. Desertkit was in front of her siblings and looked up at me with huge eyes.

"Can we hear about MapleClan? We all want to know how it started and how Silverstar became the leader!" She squeaked looking up at me. Her siblings nodded in agreement and I chuckled softly. I guessed that I had some use. I could entertain the kits for now.

"Well, let's start with Maple. Maple was born to two rouges. She had a sister, Hope, and a brother, Tide. They had heard about DepthClan and wanted to learn more about it. They soon figured out how to be a clan and did their own way. Maple started MapleClan. She found a small family of rouges and invited them into her clan. One of them was later called Spidertail. He loved the leader a lot and became mates with her. She had three kits with him and he later died.

"She then became mates with a cat named Liongrowl. They only had one kit but Maplestar became very ill. She later died from that illness. Her deputy, Toxicfang, took over as the next leader. He came from a huge family but he was the only one to join the clans. He had two mates. There was Leatherheart and Sparkstream. Leatherheart gave him Moonflash.

"Meanwhile, one of Maplestar's kits had a kit. Her name was Dimkit. She grew and became an apprentice. She was apprentices with Toxicstar's kit, Leafpaw. They quickly bonded and she was drawn to the darkness. She became a warrior and wanted more power. She killed Toxicstar and took over the clan. Her mate was by her sister. We had DepthClan's help to kill her and Leafheart. After they were both gone, we had no leader or deputy. One of them, Flamefur, stayed with us until she decided a leader.

"She was chosen to pick since she had killed Dimstar. She tried every warrior out to see who would be the best pick for leader and deputy. She ended up picking Flashstar for the leader and his mate, Cinderscar, for the deputy. Flashstar ruled for a small bit of time. He had an apprentice and that was Robinheart. Someone came and killed him while he was out training. Cinderscar was also dead. Everyone trusted Silverstar so he took control of the clan.

"That brings us to now. He became mates with Moonflash, had kits and Blossomsoul's kits are his grandkits. He also has siblings all the way in DepthClan but stays loyal to us. He was born in SmallClan before they even came to these territories. We don't have a very long history like DepthClan does, but it's a strange one at least to keep everyone interesting." I told them watching as their eyes were wide with excitement. I just hoped they would continue the story.
