Stranger Things

Chapter 1.

              "Well look here, it's Jonathan, Nicole here told us here told us about your amazing work. We just wanted to take look for ourselves." I overheard Steve saying, I looked over to see him taking Jonathan's bag away from him. He tried to take it back, He opened up the bag and pulled out the pictures. I opened my car door and put my stuff in the backseat. 

              "Pedophile." I heard Steve say, that was followed by him ripping up the pictures and letting the pieces fall it the ground.

              "We'll just have to take away his little toy," Steve said, one of his friends told him just to give it back. He held it out to Jonathan and right when he was about to grab it Steve let it go falling to the ground. The camera shattered and pieces laid around on the ground along with the pieces of paper ripped not too long ago. Steve and his little group walked off laughing, I ran up and crouched down picking up as many pieces of the camera and the paper as I could. 

                 I pulled my hand back quickly dropping what I had picked up, I held my hand and looked at my finger. There was a huge piece of glass stuck pretty deep in my finger. 

                "Are you o-okay?" Jonathan asked looking at my finger.

          "Yeah, I'll be fine. I should probably go to the nurse while she's still here." I stood up, rolling my sleeve up so no blood got on it as crimson liquid rolled down my hand onto my arm. 

                 "I'll go with you," He said putting everything into his car. I nodded and started walking up to the school, he jogged to catch up with me.

           "I'm sorry about that" He shoved his hands into his pockets looking down at his feet. 

                "Don't worry about it, this isn't the first time I've gotten glass stuck in me." I elbowed him gently, smiling softly. He smiled back, opening the school doors for me. We walked down the hall to the nurse's office in silence. I sat down in a chair as she took a look at it. 

            "Alright, we can easily take this out with some tweezers. But if it doesn't start to close up in a couple of days you want to go get a stitch in it so the tissue is together." The nurse explained while grabbing some tissues and a pair of tweezers. She had me place my hand over the tissues and she took the tweezers pulling on the glass, I winched and look over at Jonathan. His eyes widened and he looked away, though his hair is a little long I could still see red on his cheeks. I felt the final tug on the glass and my finger felt a major release of pressure. 

           I had cleaned up my hand and the nurse dressed my finger so I wouldn't get an infection or anything. Jonathan and I walked back out to the parking lot. 

           "I'll see you later." I said waving slightly, walking backward. 

               "Yeah, Thank You, Tessa. I appreciate helping me clean that up." Looking up from looking at the ground he met my eyes, I looked down. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks. 

           "No problem, I'll see you around." I turned my back to him and I walked to my car. I got in and closed my door. laying my head back against the headrest. I closed my eyes and sighed. 

                    I opened the door to my house and closed it behind me, Atlas, my husky ran up to me wagging is tail wildly. 

                "Hey, buddy," I said rubbing his head, I walked through the house and into my room. He followed, jumped onto my bed. He soon laid down and watched my put my stuff away, I opened my closet to look for my camera I don't use that much anymore. I put it in my book bag so I could take it to Jonathan at school the next day. I took my clothes off and picked something more comfortable to wear, I put on a simple tank top on some very short shorts. I walked over to my bed and laid down with Atlas, I closed my eyes and thought about how Steve ripped up Jonathan's pictures. They didn't look that bad of a thing, but I didn't really see all of them. After thinking for a little while longer I eventually drifted off to sleep.
