I slowly looked at Cody, he did not know the danger we were in. I shifted my weight and shot a glance at the Rogues. The dim light's in the ball-room danced off of them, all werewolves were beautiful, but the lights made these Rogues even better.

I glanced back at Cody, conflicted, there are three Rogues as of now - made more in hiding somewhere. They wanted my attention for a reason... so I guess I'm just going to have to find out why.

As if hearing my thoughts one Rogue, who seemed to be the ring leader, pointed one sharp finger at me, then at the hallway leading to the bathroom. I nodded. For Damon I will try to play nice.

Carefully I placed the shiny fork down on the table and I looked at Cody with a sad, guilty, smile. "I need to use the bathroom." With a fake blush I learned from Ray (just think about something really embarrassing,) I stood on shaky legs and made my way to the bathrooms.

The Rogues followed, trying to make it look normal, but whether or not it worked I could not tell. I followed the hard floor to the small hallway. The hallway did not have many doors leading off of it, just three, then the two bathrooms. Right between the bathrooms was an exit which all the letters flashed red but the I which had faded out.

At the end of the hallway I paused, should I go outside with Rogues - the one and the same that had taken Damon... it would not be a good idea but I had high doubt they really wanted to talk in the girls bathroom. Since I am too lady-like as of tonight I went through the exit with a grim smile. Show time.

Soon the Rogues all came out. The leader in the middle, the two stronger Rogues on either side - formal bodyguard standers, even if the leader could easily knock me out with one good-aimed punch.

"Hullo, Ma'am - my name is Mr. Keith, of the Riverside pack." The man spoke in a deep England accent, he paused before going on, "You may call me Keith. Brave, though, I must add for coming out here all alone without your boyfriend... or stupid." Keith gave me a fathering look, it was simply stated, your an idiot. but I only frowned slightly.

"You not Rogues?" I sounded a little disappointed to my own ears and that made me wince. It was a good thing they weren't Rogues... unless it wasn't a good thing, of course. Keith smiled at me, "We are not Rogues. We have a very very little pack - one that I have been running since I was fourteen. I am eighteen now." He said after he got my look of confusion he went to with a slight sigh, "A pack of Rogues killed my father and tried to take the pack - but what the pack lacks in numbers it loads in mental strength. They refused and made me Alpha. Unfortunately the Rogues never let us be, they keep attacking and trying to steal things off our land."

"A few weeks ago the Rogues came to us. Their leader, Cam, told us about one amazing, beautiful, she-wolf he has to have. Nothing would stop him. He told us if we got her then he would give us every single person he took back to us. He said if we worked together he'd give us half to them back - told us he'd pick at random who he gave back to made it easier." Keith said. I was, of course, fuming mad and also ready to cry - Keith and his pack did nothing wrong. I would understand if they took me, as of now, I'll be a little mad later, but still...

"They gave you Damon's ring - they knew it would draw me in." I said shaking my head a little. Keith nodded and we then stood there. The moon was full, the air chilly. I felt the goose bumps rising and I shook a little as the next cold breeze came. Keith noticed and he slipped out of his jacket and tossed it over my shoulders.

"We are here, not to get you, but to team up with you. Cam told us your pack is completely fine. A strong pack, he was impressed. We want to help you get your pack and get ours as well... if you will let us." Keith said looking at me with soft eyes - why did I ever think he was a Rogue? I mean he did kind of seem that way at first.... okay a lot but I was wrong.

"Yes, thank you." Keith gave me Damon's ring with a swift nod. "You be careful, Jessica. Cam is not a sick kid, he is not power-crazed. He is smart. He is too smart for his own good and anyone else for that matter. You need to be watched, and guarded at all times. Or else he will get you." Keith gave me a serious look before he drew a piece of paper from his worn jean pocket. "Tell your Alphas' to call." Keith caught my last confused look, "Cam knows everything about you. Maybe even more about you then you do." Then with a short nod he and his friends disappeared into the night.

After I stumbled back into the restaurant I went back to Cody and sat down with a smile. "Sorry," Cody shrugged and smiled, "I'll wait for you no matter how long it takes." I sighed mentally. I liked Cody... but I had to like Cody - there was no choice in the matter. I pushed those thoughts aside - because as of right now I am not thinking about who I want. No, right now I need to think about my pack and Keith's pack and this Cam guy.

Boys and mates and that can wait.

I have a few packs to save.
