"Okay,"

"Okay,"

"OKAY,"

I stopped mocking Eric's "okays" because I saw the little glint in his eyes that said he would not stop until he won the game. It was good to be around someone who was refusing to be worried or fearful about the battle. Eric was just... happy and nothing could ruin that happiness... well I hope not.

Pushing the dark thoughts away I smiled at Eric. "One hour until damnation - any messages?" I asked in a high girlie voice, Eric played along, making his voice deep.

"Yes, I would like the hot rocks bed and a room next to Joe Jones please."

"Okay sir, we'll get right on it." I giggled back - being with Eric was so easy.

"Don't worry darling, we'll kick so butts today - and show Cam who is Top Dog around here." Eric smirked only to get hit by Ethan who was coming outside at that moment. "I am not a dog, I'm a wolf!" Ethan hissed annoyed at the insult.

I rolled my eyes. Ray was coming outside as well, looking for little old me. "Com'on May, we're going out to a place I found." I did not know what place but I did not ask. I just followed after Ray and smirked at Eric's playful pouting at me ditching him for a hotter dog - of course Ethan started chasing his brother for that.

"You okay?" Ray asked pulling me into his chest. I sighed into the soft cotton of his grey, tight-fitting, shirt. "Yup, just wanting to rip out some  guts," I joked smiling a little. Ray looked at me with concern after he flipped his shaggy hair out of his eyes.

Ray led me into the woods and we walked in human form a ways. It took awhile but we reached a glittering pool of cold water that sparked in the sun. Flowers of all shade, color, and type were everywhere. It was beautiful.

"Wow," I whispered my eyes getting wide. "You like?" Ray asked smiling at me."

"Love." I said smiling back at him. We took a seat by the pond and I leaned into him, content. "So sweetheart, are you really okay?" He asked looking at me in a knowing way.

"I will be. It'll all be fine, Ray." I said my smiling dimming a little and we sat in silence. Not a word was spoken until Ray stood up with a sigh and a blank face.

"It's time to go, May."

I followed him home. Still silent.

We moved silently.

All of us in a mass. Of course Ray and I were leading, the other Alpha's right on our tail, and everyone else moving like a ghost behind them.

My wolf body was low to the ground. Ray was walking more standing up but I felt safer crouched down.

"We're closer." Kyle said knowingly. The smell changed of one semi-filmier to one completely new... in a way...

I swear I smelt the smell before - so strong in fact that I wanted to call off the battle and run ahead. It was weird and I felt my wolf stir.

"Who does that belong to? Cam?" I asked her frowning, I mean he did follow me so-they-said so maybe that is were I picked it up.

"No, it is different but strong... and it is the only smell - from one wolf not many. Like one wolf was ordered to run around and cover the ground in it's sent... but we've defiantly smelt this Wolf before..." My wolf questioned it, puzzled like me. I did not say anything though, in fear Ray would sent me back.

It was a short walk, we made it to a wide clearing, and they were waiting. It was a bit silly to wait for a clearing - everyone does. The woods would have been smarter, Ray and I loved the woods since we could throw wolves into trees.

A boy was in the clearing.

Cam.

And it hit me like a bag of bricks. It hit hard.

"MATE!" My wolf screamed and then overtook control.

That is the last thing I could remember of that night.
