"Ohh... owww..." It felt like my head was hit with a million bricks. "Owww," okay a million and one.
"Good morning Miss May!" I manged to turn my head and I saw two older woman standing in the doorway. I was starting to realize I was not at home... I was in a monstrous bed with about twenty pillows - I mean wouldn't one be enough?
The two ladies marched cover, both seeming rather happy. The oldest one was plump with grey hair, she had a friendly smile, she bowed to me, "I'm Mary Miss." The other was skinny and also had grey hair, "I'm Ruby Miss." She bowed as well.
Mary went over to one wall which had three huge windows, she pulled the blinds up and let the sun dance inside the room with us. Ruby was smiling and pulling out a pad and a pen. "What would you like for dinner?" She asked ready to write it down.
I wanted answers. Not food. Answers.
"Where am I?" Ruby and Mary did not miss a beat, both gave me very guilty looks and shy smiles. "Sorry Miss we cannot tell you that, all must wait for Alpha - he'll explain everything... and more. Dinner?" Ruby let the pen hover over the pad, I knew by the looks in there eyes they could not, would not, tell me anything.
I ordered food.
**********CODY**************
I sighed deeply.
Things were not going well over here... Ray, if possible, seemed worse than I was. He was yelling and snapping at everyone - demanding May but she was gone...
May was gone. The old pack house were Cam once was had been left. No traces of anything - no scents, notes, or maps on where the pack relocated.
Who couldn't find the largest pack in the U.S - us.
"You gonna get up?" Questioned Sandy her hands on her hips. I lifted on shoulder and let it fall, and with a deep sigh Sandy left me alone...
***************Cam****************
"Let me talk to her first," Damon tried to reason,"She will most likely be mad..." He sighed and ran a hand into his thick, black, hair.
"Yes, let's let her see the traitor first - no way that will upset her." I sneered lightly. I had been in a better mood since May arrived - we had put many miles between us and them. They would never find us.
"I'm not a traitor!" Damon growled up that was it - he knew he was, he just felt some weird loyalty to May. Understandable of course, she would be his Alpha female when I'm done with her.
I stood up and left without a word to Damon. I walked quickly to my new room - my room that I was sharing with May. I opened the door to see May half-way out the window. Amused I watched as she eyed the ground that was too far away to jump without breaking something. "Done yet?" I asked smiling at her.
May jumped and quickly came back inside, her cheeks now a dark red. "Your my mate - but so is Cody?" I could hear her question.
"I was your mate first. I saw you at the park when you were twelve and I was fourteen - I wanted to say something but my father did not think that was a good idea since our packs were enemies and all... so I watched you - and had other people watch you." I smiled at her. Play nice, my wolf thought eyeing May up.
"Okay... what about Cody?" She asked again and I cocked my eye brow at her,"What about Cody? He is many miles away from here - that I made sure of."
"Where is here, Cam?" I felt a spark when she said my name but I played cool, knowing just how sneaky she-wolfs can be.
"Far away is all I'm saying." I replied stiffly. Then added in a softer voice,"You know the movies where the boy get's the girl?" I waited until she nodded.
"Well, I got the girl, you mine now May." And I lunged at her, marking her as mine.
************May************
You can do a lot of things good and bad, you can be yourself or form you into being what everyone else wants.
My fingers played with the mark on my neck. Cam had long since fallen asleep, his bare back was burning in the high sun that peaked in from the windows.
I would never give up trying to escape - I would not be May if I did. I would never forget Cody or Ray - or anyone else for that matter.
But sometimes you must give up. You must do what you have to do in order to... be who you want to be.
I do not want to be Cam's mate, or Alpha female but I have no choice. He would wake up soon and we would get to know each other, learn more about the other. It happened all the time with wolves out in the wild.
As the say - the wild is never fair.
