"Ah, I finally made it!"
I closed the door and took of my shoes after let the cat roam around the house to make itself at home.
"Hey, little guy. Make yourself at home while I get dressed. I have warm milk and towel so you can feel warm, okay?", I said and smiled at the gray cat.
The cat looked at me and just blinked while it still roamed around my room.
'Okay, I take that as a yes then?'
I shook my head and went to my bedroom immediately.
I took off my uniform and changed into my regular clothes before rushing inside the kitchen to prepare milk for the cat.
I hummed and swayed as I prepared one bowl of warm milk for the cat and one hot chocolate and ham sandwich for me
Once it's done, I went to the living room and found the cat laying the sofa with a relaxed expression.
"Hey, I prepared warm milk for you, neko-chan", I said softly as I called out.
The cat rose up from the couch and as it saw my presence, it approached me quickly and nuzzled against my legs.
"Hehe, you're so cute! Let's go to the couch and watch something together. I had a busy day in school", I said and went to couch while the gray cat followed.
Hours passed by when I started watching television with the cat and so far, it was a nice and cute experience to have.
I would randomly told the cat some stories back in school, joke about my best friend's shenanigans, how my parents are doing lately back in abroad, and out of the blue, I ended up telling the cat about yesterday's events which is totally unexpected.
"Sigh, you know, I had a crush on this guy for a long long time but I guess I have no chance now since he's a girlfriend", I said and drank my cup of hot chocolate, "But that's okay! I moved on and maybe one day, I'll find the one. I just know that guy is out there. I just have to believe. I mean who knows maybe I might randomly bumped into him!".
I smiled to myself throughout my enthusiasm and the gray cat, however, looked rather interested with my conversation when I looked at him.
"Haha, sorry. I must've talked a lot. I really am glad to take you in. You must've been lonely out there. Running around the streets all day with no home and friends or maybe even a loved one", I said and petted it.
The cat purred and closed it's eyes then when it's eyes opened again, the eyes are Aquablue and they look beautiful and radiant.
"Woah, those eyes. They're beautiful. I wish I could have those eyes but oh well, can't help but dream, ahaha"
I checked the clock and realized it was already 10:00 pm.
"Uh oh", I muttered and turned off the television, "It's bedtime. I need to prepare for bed now".
I got up and cleaned up the dishes before I head to the bathroom to wash up a bit. When I got back, the cat was right in front of my bathroom waiting for me.
"Oh! You scared me! Haha, you were waiting for me?", I asked.
Unexpectedly, the cat nuzzled against my legs and purred softly once more.
"Aggh, why do you have to be so cute?! My, it looks like you liked me so quickly from the moment you saw me, huh? Hehe, I'm glad"
I carried the cat and tried to think of a way on where it is going to be sleeping in.
'Oh dear, I guess I'll let him sleep in-'
