Katniss's Point of view

I watched my sister sing. I smiled. We both love music. Leigh-Anne prefers the singing side more than me though.

I clap as she finishes and notice that the guys we met this morning were staring and clapping and whispering.

"Hey was that ok?" Leigh-Anne whispered as she came and sat down next to me. I saw the guy called Finnick look her up and down.

"Can we help you?" I say with a little bit of sass. I get protective of Leigh and guys.

"Ooh Kitty's got claws." He replys getting a laugh out of his friends.

"Ooh call me kitty again and you will feel my claws." I say tapping my long nails on the desk.

"Next up is Katniss Everdeen." The teacher says.

Great. I think

"You got this." Leigh-Anne whispers to me.

I go and sit next to the piano and start the introduction before getting lost in the song. I sing 'Cannon Ball' the Little Mix version.

I stop there and look up to find the whole class staring at me in silence. I lock eyes with a pair of blue eyes. I break eye contact when I hear clapping. I walk back to my desk and try to find the eyes again. I know they ain't Cato's cause it was from the other side of the room. But who's was it?

"We'll done Kitty." Cato says

"Aww thanks Cato." I say

"Aww what how come he gets to call you kitty?" Finnick asks

"Because he didn't look at my sister like she was a piece of meat." I say raising my eyebrows waiting for another insult.

"We like you girls. You should come join our group for lunch and stuff." Finnick says.

"Yeah. We do like you girls. And after all you are new and need someone to show you around." Marvel says

"Sure I'm up for it." Leigh-Anne says smiling at the boys.
