Lunch

Katniss Point of View.

Ok we had just been told in drama that we would be doing the play Frozen. Yay. I trail behind LeighAnne  and Gale. They seem to be acting all close and friendly. 

"Hey Katniss." Cato says coming up beside me.

"Hey Cato, how you?"

"Not bad Kitty, you?"

"Mehh I've been better." I say.

"What's up? You not happy with Frozen?" He asks concerned.

"Nah I'm fine with Frozen. I'm just.. Nah it's a long story never mind." I say.

"Nah Kitty I'm here for you. I may have only knowen you a day or so. But I already think of you as a friend." Cato says smiling at me.

"Hey Cato, hey Katniss." Finnick says coming up.

"Bad time Finn." Cato hisses

"You sure about that?" Finnick winks.

"Yes it is!" Cato retorts.

"Yeah well maybe I thought it would be great." He says. I roll my eyes and make my way on towards the canteen.

I go to the line and pick up a cheese sandwitch and an apple. I turn and walk into a hard chest.

"Sorry." I mumble.

"It's alright darling." A voice says. I look up and see the blue eyes of Mr Peeta Mellark.

"Sorry I didn't see you. I was thinking of other things."  I apologise.

"It's ok don't worry, so want to eat lunch with me?" Peeta asks.

"We eat at the same table of course I will be eating lunch with you." I say laughing.

"No I mean tomorrow we both have a free period after lunch so why don't you and I go out to a resteraunt or something." He says scratching the back of his head. His muscles rippling.

"Yeah sure ok." I say smiling. We start walking to the table. I see LeighAnne sitting next to Gale.

"Ah Crap." Peeta whispers.

"Why whats up?" I whisper back.

"Tell you tomorrow." He whispers.
