"i like you, park jimin."
these five mere words caught jimin off guard.
it was 2:08 am; jimin and yoongi were sharing a bottle of soju. yoongi placed his chin on the young boy's shoulder while looking at the city view through the glass window with jimin.
"hey, you know what?" yoongi kept caressing jimin's thighs. he let out a giggle, "we're indirectly kissing right now."
jimin was too tired to complain about the skinship and the indirect kissing. he liked it, but it was too sudden. he kept thinking on how he should get yoongi to go to sleep.
"ever since the day you transferred, in our first p.e. class together," yoongi continued. "i saw you changing into your p.e. shirt. you looked so sexy."
jimin blushed. he never knew there was someone who liked him and min yoongi was not a candidate in the category.
"i've been bullying you all this time and you just notice me now?" yoongi faked a cry.
nope. that was not the case for jimin. yoongi was the most remarkable bully of his because, everytime he did something stupid, he was bullied by the older. however, surprisingly, yoongi was the only bully who looked regretful on his actions.
he also liked yoongi, but it was very unexpected.
jimin cleared his throat before he spoke, "hyung, this is so sudden. how about you sleep first and think about it later, eh?"
yoongi swiftly stole a kiss from jimin, rested his head on the young boy's lap, and closed his eyes. "make sure to wake me up, okay?"
before jimin knew it, the mint-haired drunkard already fell asleep.
-- -- --
the seven boys were dead asleep on the furry rug of the living room area.
it was 9:23 am; one by one, the guys woke up and headed to their own rooms and slept some more, leaving yoongi and jimin behind.
when yoongi woke up, he realized that they were cuddling with each other. heat rose up to his cheeks as he stayed longer in the cute boy's embrace. he carefully carried jimin to a guest room and let him rest some more.
when he walked back to the living room, he saw jin in the kitchen, cooking hangover soup.
"have you finally confessed to him?" seokjin asked yoongi.
yoongi just shrugged and replied, "i don't know. i was drunk."
"did you record it with your phone?"
yoongi shrugged again, oblivious about what happened earlier.
"you always record everything."
"i don't know if i recorded all of it or not. i checked my phone earlier and it was dead."
seokjin sighed in frustration, "can't you just confess directly? where's your phone?"
"number one: you know i have social issues, hyung, and number two: i'm charging it and it might take a while."
seokjin sat by the kitchen counter while waiting for the soup to boil. "whatever you say."
at that moment, namjoon woke up and walked to the kitchen while ruffling his messy, pink hair. "hyung, are we going to school or not?"
"what's the point of going to school now? it's past 9 am," seokjin replied and stood up to check on the soup.
"wow, jin-hyung!" yoongi exclaimed. "where did your determination for straight a's go?"
"all gone, my friend. i think your lazy vibes just got to me," jin said as he carried the pot of hot hangover soup to the dining table.
namjoon helped in setting up the table, while yoongi went back to the guest room jimin was sleeping in to check on his phone.
-- -- --
it was 2:01 pm; the young ones were still sleeping like logs.
jimin woke up to the sound of frying pans being clanked together by jin. "wake up, sleepyhead! you haven't had breakfast and lunch yet. it's already two in the afternoon."
he jolted up, sat on the edge of the bed, and asked, "are we not going to school?"
"heck no. let's just chill in here and eat."
without any choice, jimin stretched and stood up. he thought his glasses were beside him, but he remembered that it was broken. he walked to the kitchen counter with blurry vision.
"jimin-hyung," jungkook called, "i need help with this stoichiometry-thingy here."
jungkook pointed at the page of the book, where various formulas were shown. since jimin couldn't see very well, he squinted his eyes to very thin curves, making jungkook laugh.
jimin looked at the boy and raised his eyebrow in confusion.
"you look so funny and cute, although i feel bad for your loss."
jimin sighed and scoffed, "you should be."
little did they know, yoongi was watching from afar, his blood bubbling with jealousy.
hoseok appeared out of the blue and interrupted jimin and jungkook by caressing their heads and saying, "ey, jiminie. you're amazing. you know how to hold your alcohol. you've been awake up until five."
jimin just shrugged and finished the solution to jungkook's question before replying, "thanks to my survival skills, i guess."
"oh? what do you mean?" hoseok sat beside jimin and asked out of curiousity. "if it's not okay for you to tell us, you don't have to answer."
jimin shook his head and assured them that it was fine, given that it was a sensitive topic to discuss. "when my parents left me, the water supply of our house was cut off due to overdue bills. there was only beer in the fridge, so that was the only thing i drank."
it caught the attention of everyone in the room. their faces were evident of pity and curiousity.
hoseok apologized for bringing it up. jimin told him over and over again that it was fine.
taehyung rose and pulled jimin to the couch. "do you listen to coldplay?" he asked jimin, to kill the awkward air between them, which jimin simply nodded to.
"kookie, hit it!"
imagine dragons' song boomed through the bluetooth speakers jungkook was holding.
"coldplay, kook!"
"when did i ever listen to you, hyung?"
the people laughed hard, their negativity washed away in the second the maknaes argued.
