The grey van rolled up to the large brick.
"Lisa can you wake Emily up" the girl's mother said. Lisa nods her head and lightly shakes the small body in her arms.
"Em... Emily wake up. We're home" Lisa gently says in her ear. The small girl jump up apologising and grabbing her bag before Lisa could have a chance to react.
Lynne's POV
I am very worried about Emily, she looks so pale and underweight; flinching at the slightest touch. After her "daymare" she became so much more quiet. I think there's something that she's holding back.
"Lynne? Are you okay?" My husband Mike asks. I nod my head and grab my bag before stepping out of the van. I walk into the living room of our house and see Emily sticking out like a sore thumb. She doesn't know what to do.
"Lauren, Dani can you come over please" I ask my daughters. They walk over to me.
"Girls I want you to look after Emily. Show her around and help her get used to things." I say. They both nod their heads and walk over to Emily. I can see the fear rising in her eyes.
"Hey we're not going to hurt you." I hear Dani say. Emily just nods her head.
Lauren's POV
"Hey Em" I say to Emily walking up to her. I see the fear in her eyes rise, her chest moves uneasily and her shoulders are tense.
"Hey we aren't going to hurt you" Dani says and she relaxes a little.
"Want to see your room?" I ask. She shrugs her shoulders.
" Come on" Dani says walking up the stairs.
"You share with Katherine" I say to her. She nods. "Would you two hurry up" Dani says taking mine and Emily's wrist.
"Owww. Damn" I hear Emily whisper.
"Sorry did I hurt you" Dani says
"N..No you.. didn't... I just have.... Sensitive skin." I hear Emily wrist. Dani doesn't buy it but keeps walking. She gives me a look of concern so I just give her a smile of encouragement. We get to Kath and Emily's bedroom door and her eyes light up when she sees her name on the door.
"Want to go in" Dani asks.
"C...Can I?" Emily stutters out.
"Of course it's you and Kath's room. You don't have to ask" I say.
"S.. Sorry" Emily says. I don't say anything but I open the door and give her a kind smile. She takes a step in and her eyes light up. We didn't add any posters because we didn't know what she likes.
"Do you like it?" Dani asks
"Y..yes this... really means a lot" she says with a small smile. Me and Dani smile back.
"LAUREN, DANI, EMILY DINNER!!" I hear Mike shout. We all start walking down stairs.
Emily's POV
My room is amazing. I've never had so many people care about me since my sister and parents died in the fire. It's dinner time and I'm going to try and eat something.
"Yes you will eat but you will cut tonight" the voice in my head says.
"Emily are you coming" Dani says poking her head around the door. I nod my head and follow her. We get to the dining room and everyone in talking or eating. Dani takes a seat beside her father. I stand in the doorway, sticking out like a sore thumb, not knowing whether to go in or not.
"Emily come in. You're family you sit down and eat with us. Grab a seat beside me." Pointing to the empty chair beside her and Kath.
"Yes Mrs Cimorelli" I say not wanting to be hit.
"Emily don't call me Mrs Cimorelli call me Lynne okay honey" Lynne says I just nod my head.
"And call me Mike" Mr Cimorelli says. I sit down and drink some water.
" Are you not hungry Em?" Christina asks me.
"N..Not really. I..I'm sorry" I stuttet out. GOD I AM SO PATHETIC.
" It's fine" Christina says back.
"So Emily you Lauren and Dani are homeschooled. You will start school next week when summer ends." Lynne says.
How do I tell her that I can't read. I have a journal but it's more of an art book. I can't count properly I get to 39 and don't know what comes next. We where never taught at the orphanage. We where meant to be homeschooled. I feel my breathing pick up.
"Emily are you ok?" I hear Amy ask.
"E.. Excuse me" I say and grab my ba k before stumbling up the stairs.
I get to me and Katherine's room before I grab my razor and begin cutting.

"EMILY!" I hear someone shout whilst throwing the razor out of my hand and dragging me to the bathroom.
It was Katherine.
"LYNNE!!!" Kath shouts balling her eyes out wrapping tissue around my arm. She began freaking out.
"MIKE LYNNE QUICK" She shouts as Lynne and Mike burst in. Mike takes Kath out whilst Lynne cleans my cuts. Oh why did I not lock the damned door.
"Once these are wrapped you give me all your blades and I'll need to check the room to make sure you haven't hidden any." She says I just nod my head. I can hear Katherine balling her eyes out in the next room.
Well done Emily. Now one of them is crying because of you" the voice in my head says.
"STOP SHUT UP GET OUT MY HEAD" I scream.
"Christina Lisa!" Lynne shouts. They run up Lisa grabs my waist, Lynne grabs my arms and Christina grabs my legs.
"NOOO GET OFF ME PLEASE" I cry. They carry me into another room with a large bed. They hold me down while scream and try to kick.
"Just calm down Em it's fine" Lisa says before I fall into a deep and dreamless sleep.
