When Emma finally emerged from the wormhole, she was standing in a world 21 years younger. It was a cold day in February, wind blowing eerily.
Emma made her way to the hospital, before requesting to see a particular room. She opened the door, and saw a mother with similar features as hers, clutching a tiny baby in her arms. Emma walked over to the lady. The lady looked up and smiled. "You're the first visitor, Emma." Her smile faltered for a second. "Even her father hasn't seen her yet." The lady moved the baby closer to Emma.
Emma stared into the baby's happy face, and reached down to stroke it. Emma looked into the baby's eyes. Emma looked into her own eyes. Emma looked into the eyes of an idiot. Not a stupid idiot. Just a crazy idiot.
