Jimin

A week after I started working at Samjoo. My first impression was not bad, not bad at all. It was fine. Everyone seemed so friendly, and they still are. They made me feel welcomed.

Heeyeon noona, a senior in the department. She had taught me a lot about the industry, and how things work in the company.

She said not everything will be rainbows and butterflies. And I have to be careful with my choice of pal, she constantly reminded me of how everything is actually a competition here.

Joonhyun hyung, he's almost like a close friend of mine now. I've never had a big brother in my life, and he makes me feel like I have one. He's very friendly, even on the first day. He likes to encourage me to get closer to the other workers, as I was still very unfamiliar with all 40 of them.

Gina, the youngest in the department. They said she has an interest towards me, but, well, that's her choice, I guess. I still remain unbothered.

I'm not in the mood to have any feelings for anyone, and date someone is a total no-no. At least not right now.

Not in my current condition.

There's someone I haven't mentioned.
It's Lee Joon hyung. He talks to everyone, except me. I'm not sure why, maybe he's too shy to talk to me. Who knows? Who says adults can't be shy?

But still, I'm going to push that to the back of my head. I only have to focus on my work.

"Jimin, have you seen my wallet?" Joohyun hyung asked me, approaching me from the back as I was focusing on finishing up my first short story to be published late this week.

"No, why?" I asked, taking my focus of off the computer screen and gazed up to him. His face was flashed with worries.

"It's missing, I guess. I think I've misplaced it somewhere," he said, while his eyes were scanning around the floor.

We just got back from lunch with other co-workers, and Joohyun and I were the last ones to get back into the office.

"Did you notice anything black on the table before we left the cafe?" he asked, moved his gaze and looked into my eyes.

"I don't think there was anything on the table other than the plates," I explained.

Everyone in the office was searching throughout the floor, under the table, in the dustbin. Everywhere, literally.

I excused myself to make a coffee for everyone since they all seemed so stressed out about the missing wallet.

I made my way to the edge of the office, and walked into the small cafeteria that was made for our department.

As I was stirring the coffee, I could hear somebody shouted, it was in a sibilant hum but it was clear and loud enough for me to hear.

A few cups of coffee were wrapped around both of my hands, while making my way back into my desk.

I saw Lee Joon hyung had a black wallet in his hand, my face brightened up when I noticed that they had found the missing wallet.

"Oh? Where did you find it, hyung?" my smile broadened as I placed the coffees on my table, and took a few steps closer to him.

"The question is, where did you hide it?" Lee Joon hyung asked, his eyes were glaring at me as if they were on fire. I looked around, I noticed how everyone was looking at me like I was a deer, and they were a pride of lions.

"Wh—what do you mean? I don't unde—,"

"Enough with your acting, new boy," Lee Joon hyung took a step closer to me.
