Alice, the children and Henry were standing in their party clothes each wearing a beatiful mask. Alice went off to meet someone and so did Henry.
Eventully, everyone arrived and started dancing. The king and queen in the middle. Alice was a brillant dancer but Henry wasn't too bad. People congratulated the couple as they went past, admiring their love for each other. They danced for a while and then Alice went off to get a drink.
Elizabeth's eyes widened when she saw her dad. Not because he was a good dancer but because he was dancing with another girl. She had strawberry-blonde hair that was pushed back by a rose headband. Her hands were round Henry's neck and Henry's round her waist. He leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. Elizabeth's mouth dropped. Alice must have seen it because she dashed out of the hall. "Queen Alice!" The maids called. Everyone, whose eyes were glued to the door, turned to face Henry and the girl. Both of them pretended that nothing happened.
