SOKEEFE!!! FOSTER-KEEFE!!! KEEFOSTER!!! Whatever you want to call it!
Rant below:
HIGHLY LIKELY SPOILERS
Lemme list my reasons so that hopefully I can change the other shippers minds.
Shannon Messenger started adding in the parts where Sophie had more moments with Keefe in Neverseen. Why would she do that if Sophie chose Fitz? Because she isn't (probably.) And Keefe always liked Sophie. From the very first book. Fitz said she was like her sister.
Oh yes, he tried to "kiss" her, but it didn't say that, it just said he got closer. Okay that's a lie, he totally tried to kiss her, BUT STILL. And Keefe almost kissed her in Neverseen but then Edaline did that 'Omg so cute' face and Grady was glaring at them and then the moment was interrupted. And at the beginning of Neverseen when he jumps from his eckdon to hers he starts to tell her something but then Dex interrupts.
Also Grady hates(well sorta) Keefe and so that's like the typical dad hates boyfriend kinda thing.
Her heart fluttered with both guys but only went into hummingbird mode with Keefe. When he betrayed them, he was upset with himself when he saw how it affected her. He didn't need time to realize what he had done.
Fitz however got mad at Sophie for basically no reason. And only talked to her after a long time. Fitz hides under a mask of anger and Keefe uses jokes to lift the mood. Keefe also opens up more.
Sure, Sophitz are cognates but Sophie told Keefe about the alicorn and they went on the journey to fix her mind. And they have a ton of secrets like Keefe's memories(well some of them) that Sophie hasn't shared with Fitz. And Sophie hasn't shared her secret to Fitz so thats probably going to be a problem.
Anyone who says that Keefe only thinks of her as a sister is incorrect. Like COME ON, REALLY REALLY?!?!?
In Lodestar, Tam hinted that his password might be Sophie. And he said a bunch of sappy and sweet stuff in Neverseen. He said he kissed Biana, but it was on a dare. Would he really ever turn down a dare? I think not.
And not Dex with Sophie. Sophie thinks of him as family, and he is technically her cousin. But I guess the ship is pretty cute.
Also Sophie and Fitz are both Telepaths and in one of the books it said that the Matchmakers consider the abilities. So I don't think they would put 2 Telepaths together, since they want it more mixed. And if Sophitz happened who would Keefe be with? Not Biana cuz she has her own love triangle and not Linh since there have been no romantic interactions what so ever. And Keefe wouldn't be a good councilor, I mean honestly-
But Fitz would because of how loyal and blah blah blah he is.
So yeah that's why. And I'll probably come back and add in more when Nightfall comes out. AND HAVE YOU SEEN THE SOKEEFE WIKIA PAGE????? THERE ARE SO MANY MOMENTS I CANT EVEN-
This is also about as long as a chapter I write and that makes me kinda sad.
