"He... He said if... if I tell anyone that... that he'd kill me... and my family." Daphne cries, fear consuming her. I look at my mother who is broken down in tears as well. "Baby, we still have to tell somebody." I say, taking Daphne's hand into mine. She shakes her head violently, fear apparent in her eyes. I look over at my mom who's still sitting in shock, staring at Daphne with big wet eyes. "What's going on?" I hear Eddie say behind me. I spin around to see him cautiously peeking his head through the door. "Daphne was raped." My mother blurts out breathlessly. Eddies expression changes from curious, to confused, to hurt, to sad, to angry all in a matter of seconds. "What?!" He exclaims, looking at Daphne sadly. She turns away, avoiding eye contact with any of us. "I. Calling the cops." Eddie states, turning away briskly. "NO!" Daphne screams, jumping up. She grabs his arm to stop him from leaving but he quickly turns and squeezes her tightly, tears streaming down his face. We all sat for a while crying, until eventually Dallas came in. We explained to her, and she hugged Daphne too. Eddie goes to get the phone, and starts to dial 911. Daphne sat, shaking violently, no longer able to protest. "Hey guys, can we have her for a while?" Dallas asks. Mom and Eddie nod their heads and me and Dallas help her upstairs. "I don't wanna talk." She whispers once we set her on the bed. I look over at Dallas who shakes her head, "That okay Daph. We're just going to watch a movie." She says. walking over to the DVD player. "I think she needs a bath first." I whisper. Daphne nods, and I help her up and into the bathroom. Once she's in the bath, and i sit with her, letting her sore muscles soak in the hot water. She sat up, indicating she was finished, and I helped her out and into her clothes, then walked her over to the bed. She laid next to Dallas, and I laid on the other side of her. "We're going to watch Frozen." Dallas said with a smile, causing us to laugh. She pressed play and we scooted in close together.
