Ch. 1

Yay! Chapter 1!

Devin's POV:

I had just finished packing in time to make it for my flight. My parents decided to send me to live with my brother for awhile. They couldn't handle me getting in any more trouble at school. I currently live in Missouri. But my new home will be in Las Angeles California of all places. My brother James is a Senior and he moved out about a year ago to live with some of his friends. He is actually really happy that I'm going to be living with him for a while. I guess they already got me signed up for high school there. Considering it is barely even the middle of the first semester. Let's just say I am not excited to go to a completely new school.

I said goodbye to my mom and dad and entered the terminal. Don't get me wrong. I want to see my brother and I think it will be amazing living with him, but I don't want to have to start completely over. I just don't understand why they had to send me all the way to California.

~About 3 hours later~

The plane had just landed and everyone was making their way out of the terminal. After the people in front of me left. The first person I saw was my brother. It felt like it had been forever since I saw him last. I dropped my bags and ran to hug him. I started to tear up so we had to hurry and leave so i didn't cry in front of everyone.

James' house is actually quite big for only 3 people living in it. There was Brady, Jackson, James and now me. I'm not too happy about being the only girl but. Gotta deal with it i guess. All the guys were pretty chill though so that's good. They gave me a tour of the house and fed me. So I guess you can say I like them already.

My room was a light grey color like it was back home. I had a white desk and night stand. There was a queen bed with a black and teal color. It was a very cute room and I thought it suited me extremely well. To make it even better there was a bathroom connected to it. They most likely gave me this room because I was the only girl. I guess James moved out of this room to give it to me. He also went out and bought the desk and stuff. I couldn't be more grateful for a brother like him.

I started school on Monday. It is Thursday. So I only have a few days to settle in. I'm excited but scared to start at a new school. The guys say that the people at school aren't that bad unless you mess with them. But I'm the same way. So let's see how this plays out.

James, the guys and I had just finished our second movie down stairs when everyone decided they were tired. "What do you guys want to do tomorrow?" Jackson asked standing up. "I was going to have lunch with some of my friends so Devin could meet them. You guys can come if you want." "Whose gonna be there?" Brady asked grabbing his pillow. "Devin, Sam, Corey, Brennan and scottie." "Yeah we'll be there" they both said heading upstairs to go to bed. "You don't have a problem meeting any of the guys do you?" He asked while we walked upstairs. "No it will be ok." I didn't know if I was telling the truth or not. But oh well. James gave me the biggest hug I could ever imagine. "I missed you sis" "I missed you to." We both let go and went to our rooms.

I could not sleep if my life depended on it. I looked at my phone and it was 12:30. I decided to get up and go explore. I put on some shorts and my converse. I grabbed my skateboard and walked out the front door. I rode for about 20 minutes and I found the skatepark. Only a few people were there. So I started riding around for a little bit. There was a really cute guy there. He has brownish black hair with blue eyes. Damn. But I kept my thoughts to myself and left. I got back home around 1:45 and got ready for bed.

James woke me up at 10:30 and told me to get ready for lunch. I got up, showered, and threw on some jean shorts and my maroon shirt. I curled my hair really fast and did my make up. I was ready at 11:45 just in time for lunch. We left the house to meet up with all of James' friends. They were all super nice and seemed cool. All of them go to the same school as James and now so do I. Atleast now I will know a few people there.

The next few days went by pretty fast. It was like I blinked and it was Monday already. I was not ready for school. What so ever. I woke up and jumped into the shower. I decided to wear my black tank top with my white and black print shorts with my white converse. I curled my hair and did my makeup and I was ready for school.

We all drove to school in Brady's car. We got there a little early which sucked in my opinion. James talks to his friends before school starts so. I got to meet more. Jackson showed me where my first period and locker was then he headed to class. I had first period with Scottie and Brennan. Second with James. Third with Corey, Brady and Jackson. Fourth with James and Brennan. Fifth with Corey and Sam. And sixth with Sam and Brady. Seventh period was the only one I didn't have any classes with them.

The first day went pretty well actually. Until 3 o'clock. I was at my locker when some girls across the hall were laughing at me. Behind them I saw the kid from the skatepark looking at me. The girls came over to me and started messing with me. They book checked me and pushed me. After that they laughed and walked away. I bent down to pick up my papers and books when the guy came over to me to help me. "I'm sorry about that. They just like to pick on the new kids." "It's fine. Nothing I haven't experienced before." I said chuckling a little. "My name is Colby by the way. I think we have a few classes together." "I'm Devin. Yeah we do. Um. First. Third. Fourth and sixth I think." I said putting my books into my locker. "Yeah I think that's all of them. You're good." "No I'm just good with faces" I said while we both laughed a little. Then Sam came over. "Hey Colby. I see you have met Devin." "Yep. How did you meet her?" He asked looking away from me to Sam. "I met her yesterday at lunch with the guys." "I see."

All three of us talked for a minute then we walked to the parking lot together. "Hey D I've been looking for you." James said hugging me. "You ready to go?" "Oh. Yeah. Sorry" I said laughing a little for some reason. "It was nice meeting you Colby." I said waving. "You to." He said giving me a small smile.

When we got home we all sat on the couch for a little bit. Then ordered pizza for dinner. The rest of the night was nothing to get excited about. But I can say that my first day at school wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Thankfully.
