Ch. 2

Yay!!! I hope the story isn't too boring so far. I'm going to try to make it better. And I am also going to skip through a lot of time just so I can make the story go faster and so we can get to the good stuff <3

Devin's POV:
The week has gone by pretty easy actually. I haven't gotten much homework so far so that's good. I made a few new friends to. And guess what. They are actually girls XD! Their names are Shelby and Bridget. I met them in one of my classes on Tuesday. They are super nice and they have made me feel super welcomed. I know we are going to be good friends.

It was finally Friday today. I couldn't wait for the weekend. It's been a long week with school and stuff. James and I were on our way to school when he asked me something. "Hey. How would you feel if we got a puppy?" He asked almost scared. I freaked out. "A puppy!?" I yelled jumping up and down in the middle of the parking lot. "Yeah the guys and I were going to surprise you. But I figured you would like it more if you got to pick one out." "I love you so much!" I yelled hugging him. We talked on our way to the front doors where Shelby, Bridget and the guys were waiting. "Hey you look cute" Shelby said giving me a hug. "Thanks you do to" I said giving her a smile. We all sat and talked until we had to leave for class.

Colby and I were walking to first period together since we had the same class. "Hey. There's a party tomorrow night at a friends house. Do you maybe wanna come?" He asked scratching the back of his neck. It seemed like he was nervous. "Hmmm. I'll have to think about it." "Oh come on it'll be fun Devin." He said lightly shoving me. "I don't know man. Parties. They get out of hand sometimes." "This one won't. I promise." He said almost with pleading eyes for me to go. "Don't make promises you can't keep. And I don't think being surrounded by a bunch of drunks guys is very fun." I said laughing a little which made Colby laugh to. "Nothing is going to happen. We can make sure of that." "Who's we exactly?" "Well. Me. And all the guys. Ya know. It isn't so bad bein one of the only girls in certain situations." He said looking at me with a serious look on his face. "Last time I went to a party. It wasn't as enjoyable as you make it sound. Drunk guys. Never good." "Trust me. If anyone touches you. James would beat the shit out of them. All of us would actually." "Well." "Come on Devin. It will be fun!" "I'll think about it. " I said walking into the classroom. I heard Colby groan behind me and I started laughing. I tried my best to make sure he didn't hear me.

I was tempted to go to the party. Then again I really didn't want to. But. I can't just stay locked up in the house. I have to meet people. I thought about it all first period. Then it was time to leave. "So. You're going to the party right???" Colby said with a cheeky smile on his face. "Maybe. Maybe not." I said smiling back at him. "You're mean. Ya know that." He said crossing his arms and pouting. "Yep." I said giggling a little.

James and I were sitting outside at lunch. "Colby wants me to go to a house a party tomorrow night." "Devin." "I know. I know. No more trouble. But he really wants me to go." "I know he wants you to go. But." "James. You can't protect me forever ya know." "Oh bullshit I can't." He said with all seriousness. Which made me laugh. "If you go. I go." He said crossing his arms and looking at me. "I know. I'm not sure if I'm going yet or not though. So we'll see."

We were leaving school to head home when James asked if I wanted to go to the shelter to pick out a puppy. I was so happy it was unbelievable. I picked out the most adorable border collie I have ever seen. "Here you go. So. What are you going to name her?" The lady at the shelter asked. "Baylee." I said looking at her in amazement. "Oh that's cute." She said smiling at how happy I was. "Cute name for a cute dog huh sis?" James said giving me a side hug.

We went home and all the guys came over along with Shelby. They all loved baylee. She was the cutest thing I've ever seen. She was so fluffy! We all sat in the living room and played with baylee until like 6:30. Then we all decided to go out and get something to eat. We got back to the house around 7:30 and a few of us hung out. It was James, Brady, Jackson, Colby, sam, Shelby and I. We all sat in the front room and watched movies until 1 in the morning. Sam, Colby and Shelby all stayed the night. Everyone else left at 1. Sam, Colby, Shelby and I slept downstairs and the guys slept in their rooms.

We all woke up around 11 or 11:30. I made breakfast for everyone. While they ate I showered and got in some shorts and a muscle shirt. I walked back into the kitchen where everyone was standing and grabbed a water out of the fridge. "So. You going to the party???" Colby asked with that same cheeky smile on his face. "Maybe. Maybe not." "That doesn't help!" He said throwing his head back in frustration. "You'll just have to find out I guess." I said laughing.

Everyone left around 2 to go home and shower and stuff. Actually get ready for the day. I still have no idea if I'm going to the party or not. Ughhh. Shelby and Bridget came over around 8 and told me to get ready. "For what?" I asked laughing. "We're going to the party. So get ready." Bridget said looking through my closet. "But." "No. Buts. Let's go." I just started laughing and then got ready. I thought I looked somewhat like a human. So that was good enough. Shelby picked out my outfit. And Bridget sat there watching me get ready. We headed to the party around 10.

Colby's POV:
It was already almost 10:30 and Devin and James weren't here yet. So I figured they weren't coming. Brennan, Sam ,Corey and I were getting ready to leave cause they didn't show up. Just as we were walking through all the people. The door opened and in came James, Shelby, Bridget and Devin. "Hey you showed up!" I said going over to them with the guys following me. "Yeah. Not by choice" she said giggling a little. "You'll have fun so it will be worth it." "I hope so." She said walking into the kitchen.

We've been at the party for about an hour or an hour and a half. It seemed like everyone was having fun. Even Devin. I walked up to her and asked "are you glad you came now???" "Eh." She said giving me a small smile. "Oh come on." I said starting to laugh. I was about to start a new conversation when Scottie came over to me and pulled me to the side. "Do you have a thing for Devin?" "What? Why?" "Its kinda obvious dude." He said laughing. "I don't know man. She is cute and funny. But." "But what?" "She wouldn't go for a guy like me are you kidding." I said chuckling. "Just. Talk to her man. I feel like she likes you. Grow a pair." He said punching me in the arm. "I hate you" I said while laughing and shoving him. I didn't know what to do. I walked up to Devin and asked for her number. She really was cute. I just don't see her liking me like that.

We were all in the kitchen getting another drink when someone bumped into Devin. "Ahh" she practically yelled. "What?" I asked looking at her with a concerned look on my face."Nothing. It's fine." "Are you sure?" I asked putting my hand on her shoulder. "Yeah. It was nothing." She said giving me a small smile. I decided to not push her to tell me. So we both went on with our night. She whispered something in Shelby' s ear. I was curious but I didn't want to ask. But I couldn't help it.

"Hey shelby." "Hey." "Did Devin tell you anything about something that happened in the kitchen?" "Yeah. Why?" She asked. "I asked her what was wrong but. She just said everything was ok." "Oh. She said that some dude grabbed her ass. But she said it wasn't anything to get excited about." "Did she know who?" "No just that it was some blonde in a snapback." It made me angry. But I couldn't do anything about it.

We all left the party around 1 and went home. When I got settled in and was ready for bed I texted Devin
Me: Hey Devin. It's Colby. Are you okay? Shelby told me what happened.
Devin: yeah. I'm fine. Wasn't the first time. Highly doubt it will be the last.
Me: how come you wouldn't tell me?
Devin: didn't feel like it was important information
Me: of coarse it is.
Devin: but it's over now. Everything is fine. I'm fine. I promise
Me: okay. Talk to you later. Goodnight
Devin: goodnight
