Every Rose Has Its Thorns

Rose woke up and squinted at the sunlight that started to pour in through the window. Funny, she thought, how did I get here? Then she groaned. Oh yeah.

Flashback

Miss Evergreen and a woman with brown hair who was in her early thirtys were standing opposite each other, their wands at the ready. Miss Evergreen directed a spell to the other woman, but she dodged it with perfect precision. The unknown woman chuckled darkly, pointing her wand at Miss Evergreen, but in a flash she directed her spell at me. After that I blacked out.

She supposed that they fought for hours and then Miss Evergreen brought her to the Hogwarts infirmary. That gave Rose slight hope that maybe she had succeeded in getting Marinette back. She sighed and got out of the sick bed. As she walked to the doors the chatter of students was heard, calming Rose down. She pushed the doors open with both hands and was greeted by a large group of her house members (Hufflepuff). "Rose!" They cheered, engulfing her in a group hug.

The Hufflepuffs scattered when they had finished catching up with Rose, all of them traveling in groups. Out of the corner of her she saw Adrien leaving to his next class. Rose rushed over to him and tugged on the sleeve of his robe, he looked at her and smiled. "Welcome back, Rose!" He exclaimed, she only smiled at him. Adrien, out of all people, needed to know about Marinette.
"May I talk to you after class in the library?" She asked shyly, Adrien nodded intrigued.
"Of course," he flashed her one of his famous model smiles and continued walking to class.

Rose arrived to the class 10 minutes late, due to needing time to gather her things. The professor only looked at her then waved her off, continuing his class. "So as I was saying, a Phoenix's tear has very useful healing powers, but why is it that we have never been able to keep their tears?" He looked around the classroom, expecting an answer, "no one? Well then, that's what we will be finding out!" The potions professor was a very spontaneous man, his lessons focused more on what the class didn't know. He started of the class by giving his class options that had anything to do with potions, and they chose what they wanted to learn after he gave a brief description of what they would be about. He let the students choose what they wanted to learn, so he was a favourite amongst the students. Rose continued to listen to the class and take notes, every now and then asking a question.

The class ended and Rose had run up to Adrien once again, "Adrien, I really need to talk to you!" He nodded and guided her to a secluded hallway. "Marinette, she's been kidnaped! I only escaped because of her! But this woman, her name was Miss Evergreen, she lives a little way outside of Hogsmeade, she can help us get her back!" Tears pooled in Rose's eyes, her hands curled into fists as she tried to fight them back. "Calm down Rose, as of right now I can't do anything, but I'll have a talk with my father. I promise." Rose nodded, mumbling thank you under her breath.

Rose walked solemnly to her next class, until she bumped into Chloe. "If it isn't Little Miss Rose!" She mocked trying to throw an insult at the pixie haired girl. "Shut up, Chloe. I don't have time to deal with your bulls-" she was cut of before she could finish. "What?! Are you trying to fight back? Tsh, worthless vermin!" Chloe remarked. Rose's face went red. "Says you! Says the pig who has no understanding of respect! Says the girl who thinks her daddy's money will solve everything! All you do is make a mockery out of everything and anyone, I'm pretty fricking done with your whining! Who do you think you are? Being the mayor's daughter means nothing to me!" Rose snapped, quickly turning heel and then rushing to her next class.
