A Ray Of Sunshine

Marinette groaned as she turned on the cold concrete floor, wrapping the chains tight around her body. She rubbed her eyes and accidentally hit herself with the chains, she cursed under her breath. Rose woke up to, her blond hair covering her blue doll eyes. Yawning, Marinette jumped up and fixed the chains that were wrapped around her body. As Rose stretched her head turned and she saw a window, aka their way out. Marinette saw it too, and when she did her eyes widened mid-yawn. She walked over to the window and held onto the bars. She moved her head out of the way and rays of sunshine filled the room, for the first time in days Rose had sparkles in her eyes. Rose hugged Marinette and asked, "Is this our way out?" Rose intertwined her hands together and gave Marinette doll eyes, her eyes sparkled and her shone in the sunlight, making Rose's hair seem gold. Marinette would never forget this look, it was beautiful and enchanting. Marinette nodded and took out a ladybug patterned yo-yo. "And so is this!"

Adrien rolled over in his bed and opened his eyes carefully, the room was bursting with rays of sunshine, rays that reminded him of Marinette. He sighed and said, "When will I see you again?". He picked himself up and dressed for the day ahead. Plagg circled his legs and rubbed up against him in a reassuring way "Thanks Plagg," he said and left the room.

Adrien was met with Alya, Nino and Lila when he exited the Hufflepuff dorm, they all wore their house scarves and all wore serious expressions that said 'I'm ready'. They sat at a table for breakfast and stayed silent, until Nino broke it. "We  should talk about Marinette, Adrien." Adrien looked up and shook his head.
"Who's Marinette?" Lila asked, trying her best not to sound jealous. Adrien felt like disappearing, 'not another conversation about Marinette, please no,' he thought. (My sisters calling for me so I'm trying to as be quiet as possible). "Just a close friend of ours that we haven't seen in awhile," Nino answered. (Now my grandma is calling for me). Lila nodded and took this as sign of them not wanting to talk about it. (Now my sister is crying, oh well).

Lila was pissed. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, yeah, she knew her. Lila was one of the people who helped kidnap Marinette, not only that, she wasn't actually a real teenager. 'Lila' took the name from her long deceased, great-great grandmother. Her real name was Anne, she worked for a dark wizard who wanted Marinette's rare ability. He believed that it would make him the strongest wizard alive, being able to predict your opponent's next move would come in handy. As pissed as Lila was in the inside, on the outside she was smiling to everyone she walked past. This gave her the label 'nicest girl in Hogwarts', if only they knew. If only they knew that she had kidnapped their precious Marinette. If only they knew that she worked for a dark wizard. If only they knew about the trouble she was going to create.

Lila walked into her next class and sat next to Alya, they greeted each other and talked for a while until the professor entered. "Good morning!" He said in his usual cheery voice, smiling at the students in the class.
"Good morning, Professor Beaumier." The students replied in almost- perfect unison. Professor Beaumier clapped his hands excitedly and started the class.

Alya groaned as she walked out of the classroom with Lila, "Why is History of Magic so hard?" She complained, flailing her arms about. Suddenly Nino and Adrien were next to them, "I bet you, History of Magic wasn't as hard as the Potions lesson Professor Mendeleive gave us!" Nino whined, earning a chuckle from Adrien.
"Try to cheer up, Nino! It wasn't that bad." Adrien said to his dejected friend.
"Easy for you to say! You're the best in the class. At everything, I should add." Nino said, crossing his arms over his chest, "I still don't get why you won't help me though, I really need it." Nino added in a mumble, Adrien heard this and chuckled at his friends child-like demeanor. "If I helped you, you'd make me do everything. And that is not going to help." Adrien retorted.
"Yeah, yeah," Nino mumbled, "Anyway, how've you been in classes, Lila?" He asked.
"Good, good. I'm just falling a bit behind in History of Magic." She replied, smiling politely.
"Yeah, no joke." Alya snickered, earning a glare from Lila and a nudge from Adrien.
"Why don't I help you?" Adrien offered, Lila agreed and smiled thankfully at him.
"Oh, so you'll help a girl but not your best friend?" Nino grumbled.
"This is a different situation, Nino. I know that Lila won't make me do everything and that she'll actually make an effort." Adrien retorted. "Hey! I do make an effort!" Nino yelled.
"Yeah, tell that to the mountain of homework on your desk!" Adrien said cheekily while running off to his next class. Alya laughed and pointed a shaking finger at Nino then she managed to say, "Rejected!" She too, ran away, laughing and not caring about the other students staring at her.

"So, do you recognize the town?" Marinette asked Rose as she peered through the bars of the window. Rose looked at Marinette, and her grip on the bars loosened as she nodded. "Yeah, we not that far from Hogsmeade." She answered.
"How can you be sure?" Marinette asked again, not letting herself get her hopes up.
"I can see a few recognizable shops and people and houses, if we're this close to Hogsmeade, then surely we'll find someone who can help." Marinette nodded and thought 'we're gonna have to do this soon, then.' Rose and Marinette started adding new details to their escape plan and soon after many, many hours, they fell asleep.

Yay! I finished this chapter, this chapter is really important for future events and Rose also has a significant role. Also, excuse the mistakes, I'm on my Easter holidays so I've pretty much gone blank. Anyway, what I really wanted to say is thank you! I can't believe that the first book has gotten 3k views. Also, the first person to comment the book that gave me the idea to use the name 'Beaumier' gets a shout-out in the next chapter. And thank you again!
