The call

Sophie's POV

**the next morning**

I rolled over on my side and reached

for my phone on the small table next to the bed. I looked over at Kendall and she was just starting to wake up. I looked back at my phone and my jaw dropped. I had over 100 notifications. A lot of them were twitter so I clicked the app. There were pictures fans must have taken of me and ken playing soccer on the beach with the guys. Almost all of the guys tweeted stuff like "we are aloud to have other friends" and stuff like that. After they tweeted that less people were buzzing about it. I then went to my texts and had over 50. I clicked on the message...it was a group message with all the boys and Kendall. Wait..how did they get my number...I thought for a second and then remembered Jack handing me back my phone and said I had dropped it. When he saw it fall out of my pocket he probably put all their numbers in it before giving it back to me. I looked over at ken and saw her pick up her phone. I then saw her eyes go wide when she saw all the notifications she had. I laughed a little then turned back to my phone and started from the beginning of the messages.

Jack: Hey you wanna all hang out in our room tonight?

(Then all the guys replied saying ya and a bunch of other random messages with emojis and stuff)

I confirmed with ken whether she wanted to or not and ofcourse she said yes...I think she liked Nash because she was flirting with him all last night but she was talking with some guy back where she lived. Anyway who knows what she was thinking.

I went to text back and saw ken had already said yes but I still replied anyway.

Me: ya sure text us when your Magcon event ends

I got out of bed and changed into my dance gear. I looked down at the time, it was 10:30 and we had an 30 minutes until all of us had to leave for dance practice. They rented a dance studio like 15 minutes away from the hotel since we couldn't use the room inside of the hotel today.

"Kendall you have 30 minutes, get your butt out of bed" I yelled at her.

She rolled her eyes and got up. I sat down and ate quick then checked the time again, 10:55.

"Come on ken lets go"

"Coming"

We walked out of the hotel and met up with everyone else. 3 vans pulled up and we hopped in.

I was so exhausted after dance but excited to hang with the guys tonight. When we got back to the hotel I hopped into the shower then got out blow dried my hair then straightened it. I put on light foundation and mascara. I threw on back shorts and a sheer light blue flowy tank top. My phone buzzed and I looked down at it. It was 6:00 and I had a text from Nash in the group message. It read "magcon is ending..6:30ish we should be back at our hotel room..floor 5 room 568"

"Ok be there soon" I replied

Kendall was ready and wearing denim shorts with a white muscle tee shirt that read VOGUE on it in pink letters.

We had 30 minutes so we decided to go across the street to an icecream shop to get milkshakes.

When we got back it was 6:45 so we headed up to the guys room. When we got there ken knocked on the door and Matt answered it with shaving cream all over his face. I started laughing so hard. They must have been taking vines smack camming each other.

"Oh you think this is funny" he said. He wiped the shaving cream off his face and smeared it all over mine.

"Oooohhhh" all the guys yelled. I walked into the room still laughing. I walked into the bathroom to wipe off all the shaving cream and Jack walked in a minute later.

"Need help wiping all that off." he asked.

I nodded my head yes and he took the towel from my hand and started wiping it away from my eyes. I got butterflies in my stomach as soon as looked at me. He got all the shaving cream off my face and then we kind of just stood there gazing into each other's eyes. We both started leaning in to each other until a loud banging noise made me jump and ruined the moment. Jack and I both ran out of the bathroom to see what it was. Matt was going to smack cam Carter but missed and hit the lamp making it fall off the table and shattering all over the floor.

"Nice going" I said

"Hey be quiet or I will get you with this shaving cream again" he threatened in a joking way.

I kind of wished he would just so Jack and I could get back to where we were.

Jacks POV

I had a lot of fun with Sophie on the beach yesterday and was excited to hang out with her again tonight. When Matt got shaving cream all over her face. And she went to the bathroom to wipe it off I thought this would be the perfect time to get at least 2 minutes alone with her. I helped her get the shaving cream off her face and we were so close to kissing until Matts smack cam fail interrupted.

Sophie's POV

We were all sitting around the room just talking and I zoned out for a second as the guys were talking about something funny that happened at magcon today. I focused back into what was happening when I heard my phone ring. I looked down at it and saw Paul's name. Oh great, I was having a great night and didn't want to listen to him remind me of the new dances I had to learn next week that he choreographed, but that's not what he said and what he did say I was not expecting at all. I couldn't help it, the tears started streaming down my face. I ran out of the room and heard Kendall and everyone else running behind me telling me to slow down. I just ran faster and didn't really know where i was running to, I ran to the elevator and hit the button over and over again until the doors opened. I got in and the doors shut before everyone running behind me could get it in. I hit floor 1 and when the doors opened again I ran towards the back exit and ran to the beach. I got there and just stood for a second before just collapsing into the sand still bawling.
