Narry- Part 2

Harry looked up from his cup of coffee when he heard someone coming down the stairs. Seeing that it was Niall, he got up and moved into the kitchen. I can't stand being near him right now, he thought, I don't need to cry anymore than I did last night.

Niall felt like shit after what happened last night, he loved Harry, he always will. It was a completely reasonable reaction but he had hoped for better. He hoped Harry would have understood.

Niall walked into the kitchen after Harry. Upon seeing Niall again, Harry groaned. "Can you just leave me alone, please?" I just want to be alone right now.

"Will you just listen to me, then? I realize I messed up, Harry. That's why I told you. I'm not going to keep secrets from you. I didn't want you to find out that I cheated on you some random way, I wanted to be the one to tell you because," Niall paused. Tell him exactly why, Horan. Do it now. "Because I love you too much."

Harry looked at his feet for a long while, then, finally, at Niall. "I love you, too, Niall, but I don't... I can't be in another relationship where I've been cheated on. It makes me feel like I'm worthless and I'm not going to do that to myself anymore." But I still want to be with you, the unspoken words burned in the back of Harry's mind.

Niall gave a small nod and walked out of the kitchen.

-6 months later-

It hurt when Niall saw Harry bring home someone new.

"I'm happy for you," he said to him knowing it was a lie.

Naill walked down the stairs expecting the house to be empty as it always was when he woke up. This morning, though, he was surprised to see Harry sitting on the couch crying. "Harry?" he asked, sitting next to him. "Are you okay?"

Harry stopped crying momentarily and looked at Niall, a sarcastic glare on his face. "Am I okay? Do I look oh-fucking-kay?" He asked angrily. "You tell me if I'm okay. First, I got home late last night because Michael was being a dick and got drunk and wouldn't come home. Then, after I fucking left, the asshole calls me and yells at me for leaving. This morning when I woke up, I was greeted with a fucking text that I was expecting to be an apology which was really just him breaking up with me. So, what do you think, Niall? Am I okay?"

Niall sat in silence. "I didn't know-"

"Of course you didn't know, you never talk to me. You don't give a damn about me anymore."

That's a lie, Niall thought, I still love you. "Harry-"

"Just go away." Harry said standing up.

"No, listen to me, you little shit. I'm sorry I tried to care for you just now. I'm tired of you treating me like crap. I talk to you all the time, you don't give a damn about me anymore. I'll have you know that I knew he was going to hurt you when you pranced happily along with him. I tried to tell you. You don't listen to anyone. Quite frankly, its annoying and I'm not surprised he broke up with you." Harry opened his mouth to say something but Niall stopped him, "I'm not done. You can't act like this anymore. You're going to have to talk to us again because now you have no reason to ignore Liam, Louis, Zayn, or me. I'm tired of pretending like it doesn't hurt me every time I see you with someone that isn't me. I'm still in fucking love with you, Harry. I would adore it if you'd bother to notice that."

Niall got up to leave when Harry grabbed his sleeve. "I'm sorry," was all he said. He laid his head on Niall's shoulder and, no matter how much Niall wanted to push him away at the moment, he stayed.

After a few minutes, Niall calmed down a bit and pressed a kiss to the top of Harry's head. "You make me so mad." He said, wrapping his arms around Harry's torso and laying his head on top of the other's.

"I know, I forgive you."

Niall jerked up. "For what?" He asked, confused.

"For cheating on me. I should've forgiven you from the start, I just couldn't."

Niall sighed and rested his head back on the younger's. "It's alright, I get why you didn't."

They stayed silent for awhile and soon, Harry was sleeping. If I were to die right now, Niall thought, I'd die happy.
