The prison cell was freezing during the night. The thin, scratchy sheets I was given did nothing against the cold so I was left shivering in the darkness. I hated that I couldn't remember a smidge of what the Lords had erased.
The next morning, I knew I would break free. I could use my sun to melt the metal bars and allow my exit. It would require lots of focus, the power would need to be very concentrated and sharp. I stood from were I sat on the metal slap that was supposed to be a bed. I faced the wall of bars and closed my eyes, digging through my Nexus. When I found the glowing heat of Sun, I willed the golden light down my arms to my hands. for a minute, it felt like fire was running trough my veins, leaving its mark on my body, but it slowly faded into an uncomfortable warmth.
When I opened my eyes my hand were alight with golden flames, the bars in front of me already turning a dull red. Slowly, I moved my hands towards the melting iron. I had melted a large gap, just big enough for my body. Very, very carefully, I lifted my left leg over the red metal, I wasn't sure if it could burn me, but I wasn't taking any chances.
I was half way through when the bars started re building them selves, quickly conjuring up more iron and put it in place, I scrambled to get my right leg out before it was built into the bars as well. I flung myself backwards, avoiding the floating bits of metal around me. When I returned to my feet, a fully intact cell stood before me. It was no dubitably spelled with one of the Lord's magic to keep the prisoners inside, but it I had been able to break the spell for so long, how powerful could I actually be?
The first thing I had to do was look for a way out, there had to be an exit somewhere. I had noticed that I never saw any windows in here and how it was cold all the time, so a logical conclusion would be that this place is under ground. I found a staircase at the end of the long hallway of cells and hauled my body up the steep incline.
Kallis.
I needed to find whoever she was. She would be able to show me a way out, maybe even tell me what a 'Paralleis' was and why I was her's. I remembered how Donia had lead me to an untouched hall of bedrooms, and I wondered if the other residence would have slept on the other side of what ever this building thing was.
At the top of the stairs, the space became slightly familiar. Next to where I had emerged from were the stairs to where I had slept the night before. I tried to remember my way to the large open room where the entrance to the Lords' meeting room was, hopefully, if this place was symmetrical, the other sleeping quarters would be on the other side from where I came. On my way through the dark, gloomy halls, I heard sounds coming from behind me like male voices. The lords.
I took off without really thinking and ran as fast as I could, turning around unknown halls until I ran into a large open room with a very tall ceiling. There was a tall, blonde haired girl standing there, staring at me, her violet eyes penetrating right to my bones, and she must have sensed my fear.
