I got to school and sat at my desk. I didn't need to be here, I new this all ready.

"Hey, Mika?" I turned around to see a brown haired kid and a kid with messy black hair.

"Yes?" I questioned, happy someone distracted me from the lesson.

"Why do you sit like that?" The brown haired kid asked and I looked at how I was sitting. My legs were crossed and I was slouched.

"Probably the same reason as him." I said pointing at the messy black haired kid.
"My concentration drops and my mental capacity drops about 60%." The messy black haired kid smiled before speaking up.

"Hey I'm Ryuzaki, this is Light. You are completely correct though." He smiled and I couldn't help but think how cute he looked.

'No. Stop. You're the worlds second best detective! You shouldn't be thinking about this!' I thought before turning around to pay some attention to the lesson.

-After School-

"Hey Mika! Wait up!" Ugh I haven't been able to shake these two off all day.
"Your test scores beat both of ours how?" Ryuzaki asked and I laughed.

"Cause I'm better than both of you." I said with a small smile.

"We have a proposal to make." Light said and I spun around to look at them both. These two have been very suspicious all day and now they have an offer?

"I am L." Ryuzaki said and I smiled.
"And we would like you to join the Kira task force." I couldn't help but laugh.
They both looked at me confused.

"Ryuzaki, L is the 12th number in the Alphabet. Open your book to page 12." I said with a grin and he did. He looked shocked.

"What is it?" Light questioned and looked at the note.

Hey L.
This is the last place I thought about looking for you. See you at Kira headquarters at 11pm?

L P.O.V

"How did you-" I looked up and saw that Mika had left. I laughed and Light looked confused.
"See you there X." I whispered and shoved the note in my pocket.

Your P.O.V

I put on my E/C jumper with black skinny jeans and E/C converse. I grabbed a piece of F/C before locking my apartment door and slipping out into the night.

I looked around me to see empty streets and the moon high in the sky. I sighed heavily, enjoying the night air.

-time skip-

I arrived outside the hotel room and knocked on the door. A tall butler opened the door and I instantly knew I was in the right place.

"Watari." I nodded my head in respect.

"Miss X how nice to meet you." I smiled and he lead me into the main room.

"Hello X." L smiled and I felt my heart flutter.

"L. Nice to see you again." He nodded his head as I acknowledged everyone else in the room.

"Everyone this is X. Mika Allen is her alias. She will be helping us on the Kira case considering she is the worlds second best detective." As L introduced me, I stuck my young out at Light who was silently staring at me at the back of the room.
"X, this is Chief Yagami, Mr Matsuda, Mr Mogi, Mr Aizawa, and Mr Ukita. And of course you know Light and Watari." I nodded my head and began to work.

-Time Skip-

"It's 4:30am. Light, X you both need to go home and sleep you have school tomorrow." Chief Yagami said and I laughed.

"I'm not going to school tomorrow. I need to work on something." I laughed more and took a bite of my F/C. L laughed and I looked at Light as if to say sorry.

"Well I'm leaving." Mogi said and the other task force members all ended up leaving with him.

"Don't you need some sleep X?" L teased and I pushed him off his chair.

"Nah. Gotta go do something in about..." I checked my watch.
"3 hours." I concluded and L gave me a look.

"I am not keeping pets." I sighed and took a long drink of my coffee.

"Spoil sport." I pouted and L hugged me. I laughed and pushed him off again.
"I have my suspicions but who do you think Kira is?" I asked.

"Oh. No one must have told you. The main suspect is Light." I smiled, noticing my theory was correct.
"I have no idea how he is doing it though." He pouted and an idea popped out of nowhere.

"Hey in mythology there was a story about how death gods carried around notebooks that had the power to kill people." You joked and realised that it could be a possibility.

"Do you think it is possible that Light has a shinigami' notebook?!" L questioned and fell off his chair.
