Chapter 2: Two Big Surprises

Kate's POV
As i walked to my parents lawers office to get my will i saw a familiar BMW 2 driving closely beside me as i walked across the street. The driver opened the car window and saw that Tanisha was the driver "Hey Kate!" she laughed i gave her a slight smile. She opened the car door "want a ride?" she asked. I nodded and climbed into the car.
"Where are you walking?"
"Just to my lawers office i need to get my parents will."
"What do you think your gonna get?"
"Hopefully something that will help me remind me of them..."
"Aww Katie!" she cooed she rubbed my shoulder trying to comfort me tears stung my eyes. I guess all i needed was someone to comfort me. That's probably why i still cant get over it... I laid my head on Tanisha's shoulder and cried silently "its okay" she said in a soothing voice "tale a right here" i mumbled. Tanisha giggled.
(Time Skip To Lawers Office)
When we got into my lawer James office he stood up in my Kate and we sat down in the chairs in front of of his desk "im sorry for the loss of your parents but it is time i give you the will" he said sitting behind his desk and pulling a brown brief case and opened it. "The only thing i have for you is this breif case and this note" James explained handing the brief case to me on it was an envelope. i put the envelope on the desk and opened the breif case my eyes widened and Tanisha gasped. It was a lot of money. "That is $600,000 from your parents" James said. I closed the breif case and set it next to my chair so i could open the envelope. It read:

Dear Kate,
We believe that you would do fine on your journey into life but we gave you this money so you can travel the world like you said you wanted with your friends. You said that when you were 6 and we saved it up since then. We know it sounds stupid. But me and your father love you so much so take the money explore the world we didnt have a fun life since i had you when i was 18 and i want you to live the dream i never got...

"Thank you James" i smiled. I pulled Tanisha's arm back to the car and we both looked at eachother so surprised
"Are we gonna actually do this" she asked "YES! This is what we need. We can take Craig and Evan it'll be so much fun" it has been so long since I've smiled and it felt reliving. Tanisha smiled to and we drove to Craig's house for a surprise visit
