[Toby's POV]

I held a dark face, my twitching might've made me slightly more intimidating. Jeff remained unwavering. We were both caught in a stand-off.

'Toby! We should just go..'

N-no point. He l-locked the door, which he is kinda s-standing in front of.

"Give her back."

He growled darkly, clearly angered despite his Glasgow smile.

"N-no."

     Jeff flared up even more.

"I need to talk to her! Give her back! Now."

'Jeff...'

Don't g-give in! He h-hurt you, r-remember? I-I don't f-forgive him!

'Yeah... Okay.'

Jeff threw the first punch as I refused to back down. I was knocked back, even though I didn't feel it. But someone clearly, audibly did. As I kicked back, I worried for Y/N. I didn't even know ghosts could feel pain, but I guess as she was in a human body, she gets back her human feeling.

You okay?

'Y-yeah... Just... Hurt.'

Jeff tried to drop kick me, which I caught in my hands. I brought up my knee, slamming it into the back of his knee, making him shrink back in pain. I smirked slightly.

"Leave her alone."

He grabbed me by the throat. I heard Y/N's pained gasp as I slowly lost breath.

Y/N. G-get out of m-my body. I don't w-want you getting hurt...

I felt something- Y/N- leave my body. She had escaped in the front of me, pushing Jeff back as he launched at me for another hit.

"S-stop it! Just stop!"

She yelled, and I noticed the tears in her eyes and the streak of blood down her chin. Y/N had Jeff pinned down as he stared, shocked, into her angered eyes.

"First, you kill someone! That's already crossing a line! MANY lines, actually! And then, when I make a friend that let me cry my ghost-tears on them, you beat them up! Which I will mention, hurt! A heck of a lot! So just stop! STOP FRICKIN' FIGHTING!"

She bolted up into the air, and left. She stopped at the doorway, took one last heartbreaking glare at Jeff before flying off. Harsh. Ice cold angel.

[Jeff's POV]

I curled up into a ball. I had no idea it hurt her. I had no idea she would be so affected. How was I supposed to know?!? Toby softly kicked me in the back. I turned to him.

"What?!"

     I growled, and he twitched.

"A-apologize."

     I turned away.

"I don't owe you anything."

     He growled.

"I-I didn't m-mean me, d-dumbass! G-go apologize t-to Y-Y/N! S-she deserves i-it!"

     My eyes widened.

"That's what I wanted to find her for, you idiot! Yet you had to hide her! I just wanted to apologize for hurting her and you made it worse!"

     Toby glared, twitching.

"Y-you're the one t-that made h-her hurt."

I stood up, backhanded Toby, and ran out of the room.
