I was sent down here for a reason, but stupid God never told me why. Sure, I defended the devil for his rights a long time ago. But that was a long time ago! The devil didn't deserve it, and I loved him. We both fell in love but god never approved it so he threw me back down to his creation, earth. The biggest place I hated. I couldn't help but love it, it was less white than heaven. Of course, God forgot my wings but they're completely useless cause I can't fly with them.
I sit up from the big crater my crash created and tucked my wings away into my back so I looked normal. At least god lended me a home and a job and money. I work at a tiny teenage store called hot topic, I guess it's okay. He changed my appearance into someone I definitely wasn't but I was cool with it. I tap on the snake bites I had and smell cold metal on my nose. Sweet, I got a nose piercing too. I look around at my surroundings, wow. He placed me in Medford, Oregon.
I walk over to my job, luckily it wasn't that far and go in. "Rebel where the hell have you been?" The manager snaps, ah, so god named me Rebel. How cute.
"Sorry just got held back a bit with school and shit." The manager sighs.
"Keep your crap together next time." I nod and start my day like nothing bad happened.
-Net Day-
I gotta start this lame ass school today, wonderful. I don't sleep so I decided to get ready around 6.Outfit
I look at myself and shrug before walking out with my skateboard I got from Vans.
-Skip-
I make it there with my bag and load all my stuff into my locker. It looks like I've been here all my life. Haha. Everyone shares looks at me like I've been here for a while except for one kid. He looks at me confused, like I've never been here before, which I haven't.
He smirks and walks up to me. "Hello there." I roll my eyes.
"Hello person."
"My names Kellin Bowstick, but call me Kellin Quinn."
"My name is not gonna happen." I push him away before slamming my locker shut and take the stuff I need in my bag.
"Oh come on baby, don't be that way." Kellin tries to grab my ass but I grab his wrist and twist it but not to the point it snapped.
"Fuck off Quinn." I snarl before throwing his arm down and walking away. I'm not the nicest on first impressions, that's why the devil and I were so close because we knew each other so well.
I sit at a lonely tree and take out my phone before calling Satan himself. "Rebel?!" He answers, I laugh at the name.
"So you figured, my new name is Rebel." I smile.
"Yeah, a little white birdie told me." We both laugh together.
"I miss you." I tell him.
"I miss you too." The bell rings signaling class is about to start.
"I gotta go, love you."
"Love you too." I hang up and put my phone in my pocket.
"What do you mean your new name is Rebel?" Kellin sneaks up behind me. "Are you undercover or something?" I roll my eyes.
"Why do you care?" I cross my arms.
"Because I do." I shake my head.
"Later." I walk away with my stuff and make it to first period in time.
-----
Kellin is in every period I have, I've heard the angels talking about him before. Kellin wasn't the son every parent dreamed of, he just had some spice to him. Not like a red hot chili pepper spice, but a California reaper spice. I favored him, so did Satan. We liked him.
"Mr. Bowstick please pay attention." The sixth period teacher told him, Kellin just rolled his eyes.
"Kellin." I look at him. "You should really pay attention."
"How about no...?" I sigh and shake my head.
"Wonder what Satan would say..." I mutter.
"What was that?" Kellin asked.
"Nothing." The bell rang, I quickly got up and ran to my locker. I get my skateboard and walk outside putting headphones on to listen to some music.
"Hey Rebel." Kellin drives by slowly. "Want a ride?" He pulls up in some crappy but working car.
"Sure." I hop in. "I need to go to work, it's over at hot topic on H street." He nods.
"I was going there anyways."
"Cool." I felt something feathery fall from my back. "Hey you got something on your back." He plucks the feather off my skin, I wince at losing another feather. "It's a black feather." He holds it up frowning.
"Probably from one of those stupid necklaces my cousin gave me." I roll my eyes, I wonder if I had any family.
"Oh," he stops the car. "You're so strange."
"Oh really?" I ask while chuckling.
"Yeah, everyone's been acting weird ever since you came here. Everyone acts like they know you and teachers call your name like you've been in their class before. But you've only been to the school for a day." Wonder how he knows that. "So weird, whatever." He shrugs and gets out. I get out and walk in with him.
"What the hell Rebel?!" My manager practically screeches into my ear. "You're late again!"
"Only one minute late!" I shout back.
"Still counts!" I roll my eyes.
"Well then fuck you, you bald ass bitch." I walk back out with my stuff and keep walking down the street.
"Woah woah Reb wait up." Kellin stops in front of me. "Where you going?"
"Home."
"I'll drive you." I shake my head.
"I need to pack to find a job fast Kellin, I can't horse around." He sighs.
"Let's make a deal," I look at him interested. "I'll be your roommate, I'll help you buy groceries and pay half of the rent. It helps you and me."
"How does it help you?"
"My parents are planning on kicking me out soon." I nod.
"Okay then stranger, go pack your stuff and you can move in. I have an extra room."And that's the start of a bad story I should've never gotten myself into.
