Chapter 1: Last Day Before Break

(Scene Set: Lunch hall, DreamAchievers college/University)

Scott's point of view

"Let's sit here for lunch, Giggles shouldn't be long. Grumps kept her behind about late coursework or something." Ryan said that as if something was bothering him. He wasn't his usual self, for starters his cute smile wasn't upon his face. Which made me feel like cuddling him but I don't know how he would react.

"Nothing unusual from Grumps, he's always keeping someone behind, I'm just glad he's not my teacher. (Pause) Ryan is something on your mind?"

"I'm fine Scott just had a long day, don't take it personal if I don't talk much,I'm tired." You could see by the look in Ryan's eyes something was wrong. His gorgeous bright blue eyes almost turned a shade darker as I could almost see his eyes start to water.

"Ryan, are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm.....(Giggles walks in, approaching the lunch table)....I'll tell you later Scotty." All I wanted to do was put my arm around him and let him cry on my shoulder, yes I'm soppy I know; I really like Ryan.

"Hey Scotty, how's your classes been? Thanks for waiting for me by the way, Ryan." Wow, Giggles seems to be annoyed at Ryan, hmm I wonder what's happened.

"Same old, same old. Is everything alright with you two?"

(Giggles glares at Ryan with a sharp look on her face)

"Why don't you ask him." (Giggles pointing finger towards Ryan)

"I...it's my fault Giggles got in trouble. I threw a paper ball and it hit her on the head, she turned round and shouted 'Ryan!' I'd been winding her up all lesson."

"Yeah, silly and to top it all off, you just had to remind Grumps about the coursework. Grr, if only I waited till we got outside and then shouted at you, you'd be crying right now"

"Okay can you two please knock it off, it's the last day before break, we have sport class next let's hope it's dodgeball so you can try and get him back. My cousin is joining us in 6 weeks don't forget, so please, pretty please, be nice and help me keep an eye on her." Ryan really does like to wind Giggles up, but oh my I can't tell one off without the other, so I simply gave them a great big cheeky smile at the end.

"Scott, what's your cousins name again? (Pause) Giggles would like to know, haha."

"I'm not interested in girls, so button it trouble." Oh my I thought she was going to say something a lot worse to Ryan after the day she's had with him.

"Have you got a photo together? (I show her a photo of my cousin Leanne and I, she stares for a moment or two and grins) I think it's about time Ryan got himself a girlfriend, don't you Scott?"

"Haha as much as I agree with you, I'm proud to say she's a lesbian, you know, no trouble from guys and besides; Leanne is more happier and confident than she's ever been before since she came out." I don't know if I was missing something here but they both just glared at me for a short while. I don't mind getting stared at by Ryan, but both of them...at the same time, like come on.

"What did I miss?"

Both of them "oh nothing, absolutely nothing."

I just looked at them both very suspiciously for the duration at the table.

(Bell rings)

Ryan seemed so eager "Right sport class, let's go." Okay I might be reading into things differently here but I'm sure Ryan was upset not long ago, now he's, well he seems happy. He leaped off the seat and weirdly rubbed his hands together with a great big smile on his face. I think he's ate and drank too many sugary items haha.
