"Boy if you don't down your phone this second I swear I will-"

"Okok fine!! Don't be angry please. I put it down already!" Jongin, your guy best friend, started pouting at you so that you would not be pissed with him.

"Seriously! That trick again! If you don't like me being pissed at you then please just stop using your phone when you are hanging out with us." You nagged as you hit Jongin on the head.

Well, Jongin is your guy best friend and you two has been really close since young as you two were neighbours. Even though Jongin has moved, you two still go to the same school and hence remained very close. Jongin is known for his looks and dancing skills in school and thanks to that, you two are kind of known as "the pair that will always go together" to many people and he is also quite protective of you. Of course, you both have a group with you, but it's just that you two are the closest among them all. However, rumours have been going on and on about how you two are secretly dating, but the truth is, you two aren't. In fact, you have a crush, Park Chanyeol and Jongin has his too, who is one of your classmate.

"Okay mom. I will no-OW"

"Call me mom again and I will not resist to hit you again." You warned sternly. He may be cute and good looking and is your bestfriend but you aren't affected by those. This is just how your friendship is like.

"Sometimes, I really think you enjoy torturing me." Jongin said, while rubbing his head where you hit.

"Well, the truth has been spoken."

"You know, sometimes, I really wonder why aren't you two together. I mean, look? YOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE!" One of our friend, Jihoo, said while squeling slightly.

"Him? Nah ah, besides I have a perfectly fine crush already."

"Hmph. Not like I want you??"

And there it goes again. Your group of friends just watched you two bicker like there's no tomorrow, again. They have gotten used to it by now already.

"Hey hey!!" You heard Jongin shout from three rows across the class and you somehow knew he was calling you so you turned.

"What?" You mouthed, not wanting to get into trouble with your Maths teacher, whom you weren't already on good terms with due to your results.

"Tell her. Do I like you?" He responded while pointing to his tablemate.

"What??" What the hell is he thinking, shouting such things across the class when teacher is teaching?

"No, of course not. Why would you even ask that?" I quickly answered and turned back to the front when I heard..

"See? Told you! I don't like her. We are just best friends."

That's when your playful mode is switched on. Oh, who cares about Maths right now. I could just study at home. (A/N: that's me right thr but i always end up nt studying HAHA)

"Oh sorry, I think I heard your question wrongly just now and just processed what you said. I think the answer was supposed to be 'yes'." You turned around and said, ignoring Jongin mouthing "what the hell" all along.

What you said caused an uproar in half in the class, where both of you are seated. You heard whispers of "I knew it" here and there while you rolled your eyes mentally while trying to play cool and smirked at Jongin.

"I don't like you! You know that!!" Jongin frantically tried to protest when he knew you wanted to sabotage him.

"Ohh...let's see, what about that day when you finally confessed?"

"What! That never happened. Hey come on. Stop joking." You knew he was afraid that his crush would think that it's true.

Seeing how frantic he was, you decided to drop it. "Fine fine. Guys. I was just joking. It's really funny how you all thought it was somehow true."

Jongin let out a breath visibly and glared at you and mouthed the words "you will get it back".

You shrugged and mouthed "come at me then, I'm not scared."

The next day Jongin went to school with you, which was really rare but you just shrugged the matter off, thinking he was trying to be nice. He also has the same bag as you, but different colour.

"Hey bestie! Are you excited for school?" Jongin asked while smiling really widely.

"Why is your mood particularly good today..?" You asked since seeing a jumpy Jongin isn't an everyday thing, especially in the morning.

"Nothing." But you could do nothing other than eyeing him suspiciously.

Once you reached school, your whole batch was saying how you two became a couple and that is when it all clicked in your mind. Jongin wanted people to think we are a couple!

When people, more specifically, your classmates, came up to ask if are you two are really a thing now, before you could eben say a thing, Jongin spoke, "Yeah well. She asked and I just could not deny since she is my best friend." Trying to make it sound like I'm the one who initiated!! And make him sound forced!! Oooo this guy. He's dead.

By the end of school the whole batch was talking about it, with the false information Jongin fed them with. The whole day, you were pissed with him so you did not talk to him. Jongin, on the other hand, realised he crossed the line and was trying really hard to appease you but nothing worked.

At the end of school, since your batch was the only cohort that needed to stay back for a programme, you took the opportunity and ran to the school's general office and used the announcement speaker without anyone realising since no one was there.

"Everyone, listen up! I am not dating with Kim Jongin and his crush is not me, it's-" you were cut off when Jongin came in and pulled you away from the speaker. "Sorry everyone! Yeah it was a prank from the two of us. Haha. Happy April's Fool!! Oh but! Just a reminder: any guy who wishes to be her boyfriend still has to go through me!!"

"Dumbass, it isn't even April!!" You exclaimed at Jongin.

"Well. YOU WERE ABOUT TO EXPOSE ME!!"

"Actually, I knew you would come. So I wasn't going to expose you. I just wanted to scare you. Dude, you think I'm that kind of friend?" You asked while placing a hand over your heart, feigning hurt.

"Well, uhh..I was just worried. And stop acting, it sucks." He said while slapping your hands away and rolling his eyes.

And you two bickered all the way while hitting one another with students really wondering what was going on between you two but it was really just pure friendship.

A/N: this is to prove that not all girls and guys who are really close friends hv to end up with each other!! i mean actually im writing this from experience well kinda i hv this guy fren hu im rly close with but the rumours really juz wont stop sometimes!! esp in my class oh gawd but da rumours rly didnt stop us from being frens n didnt make us awk because we just really dont care HAHA which im rly grateful for cuz wt if it did!! i would be losing a friend so yeah:)

i will probably update when there's at least 150/200 reads, depending on my mood n my completion of a part HAHA n yasss exo's comeback is NEARINGG :DD their change in hair colours hyped up the fandom somuch😂
