Chanyeol

"Hey why do you even like Chanyeol?" That sentence strucked you and made you think hard.

"I don't mean anything else but...you guys don't talk and have been tablemates for only like 3 months? And even so, during that period you guys have never ever interacted. So how did you even fall for him?" You friend, Enhyun asked you once again.

"You were so sure you wouldn't like him at all..so why-" she was being cut off with you saying, "I-i don't know.......It just comes suddenly, I don't even understand myself sometimes."

"Look, I will support you no matter what, but just an advice, do not fall too deep. You aren't that close to him so you don't know how he's really like, don't end up in an situation like me." Enhyun advised you sincerely and you nodded your head since you knew what exactly she had went through, and you definitely did not want that to happen to you.

"Do not fall too deep." You tell yourself that every single day.

However, it doesn't help when you see him every single day in class, watch him play basketball in physical education lessons and play the piano during music lessons. It's all just so charming to you.

Chanyeol is a very shy boy in your class (A/n: cant really imagine this in real life tho HAHA but ya) and he rarely talks to girls, except for one or two. Even so, you would still feel a tinge of sadness when you see him interacting with them even just a bit.

However, when he's around the guys, he changes 180°. He's very very wild around the guys. That's one point you found charming about him as well.

Whenever you chat with others, you just have the temptations to just message him as well, but you could not bring yourself to do it.

What if it's the wrong number?

What if he sees and does not reply?

All the thoughts kept you from messaging him.

You did try to strike a conversation with him before by passing him something, but all you got as a reply was a "hmm" from him as he knew the boys would start making a fuss if he is ever seen talking to you.

"Should I just give up...? It's not like we talk or whatsoever. It's just too impossible. I mean like-" You asked Enhyun one day. "Well, do you think you are able to stop?" She striked back with a question that made you silent. "No, right? You need a reason to stop, but now, you don't have one."

You sighed and continued, "and it's not helping that the people around me are all telling me he's a nice guy and I think so too. I mean like, look at him. The guys annoys him every single day but he doesn't ever get mad at them. He swallows the anger in."

"Yea, he might be a good guy but I don't know...you know I don't trust guys right? Especially when I know he's a close friend of Sehun, that jerk. (a/n: tats another story i guess hahahahah) Maybe you should try messaging him on his birthday?" You nodded and took note of her idea.

On his birthday, you sent him a message exactly at 12am.

"Happy birthday!! Though we do not talk but as your ex tablemate I'm wishing you a blessed birthday!!! :)"

"Never knew you were this lame, what kind of message is that??!" Enhyun exclaimed when you showed her what you sent.

"The message is delivered though, but not seen yet. What if he purposely does not want to see it?" You questioned, filled with worry.

"You do know he does not really use his handphone in school, right? Maybe he will just reply at night. Quit worrying so much." Enhyun said but it does not comfort you much.

After reaching home from school, you immediately turned on your wifi to check if there is any new messages but to no avail.

He must be balling, it's okay. Let's just wait.
However, when it was 11pm, there was still no message from him. And that's when you gave up hoping.

"Maybe I will just give up on him. Yes, I will not care about him anymore. Having no crush is much better." You mumbled to yourself.

You were about to call Enhyun and tell her what was going on, but you received a new message, a message from him.

"Oh, thank you!! Uh, how did you know my birthday though?"  That was his message.

You got flustered as you did not know how to reply him since you can't possibly say, "I secretly stalked." So, you said, "uh I was looking out for November babies in our class and I realised you are one of them so yeah."

Since then, you two have been chatting every single day, just like good friends, which was to your surprise since you did not even expect to have a conversation with him. However, in class, you two still do not talk since you knew the class would tease.

One day, when it was your birthday, he suddenly came up to you in class and said, "Hey, meet me at the Indoor Sports Hall level one basketball court after school." You were shocked but you just nodded. Your classmates just gave you two the teasing looks and you just ran out of class for breaktime.

After school, you went to the ISH as told, filled with excitement.

However, you did not even see a single sign of him among everyone playing there.

You were about to walk away with huge disappointment while mumbling, "haiz, I should not even have high hopes from the start..." But favourite song was suddenly played and blasted throughout the place.

You turned around and the students who were initially carrying out their own activities at the ISH started walking to you and handed you a blue rose each with a small note on it.

You were shocked but it cannot be compared to the shock you had when Chanyeol suddenly walked out of the crowd, towards you with with a bunch of baby's breath, your favourite flower.

"I don't really know how to do these kind of stuffs...but I'm giving it a try for you. You have always captured my eyes from the start of this school year when we started being classmates but sitting beside you just made me fall for you totally. After we weren't tablemates anymore, I saw your open and friendly personality but you were always sort of shy when you are around me because of the rumour and same goes to me. When you wished me a birthday wish, I was more elated than ever. I did not know how to reply you at all so I spent the whole day thinking of a reply and only replied you late at night, hoping that we could continue the conversation, and we did!! On the notes you received, they are my impressions of you from the start of the year and my feelings, read them when you are free, okay?" Chanyeol then flashed that dashing smile of his.

"But why-"

"Why? Because...I fell for you. I have a crush on you, would you be my girlfriend?"

You could never have been happier than that day.
