"If you follow me, everything will be fine."

"Don't worry if you haven't mastered your power of light, fire can light up the way too."

"Just...trust me."

Memories of the reassuring words flowed into Baekhyun's mind.

"What did you once promise...Have you forgotten them all...?" Baekhyun mumbled to himself as he sat on the edge of his bed, feeling utterly down.

"Baekhyun! Come on!! We've got to be prepared. No time mopping around!! Time to get them back!!" Yixing shouted as he busted into Baekhyun's room.

"Sure hyung. Let's get going. And for the record, I wasn't mopping around."

"Oh, come on. Don't need to lie. Anyone who have seen you for the past few days could tell you miss Chanyeol alot."

Silence.

Baekhyun could not find anything to say as a rebuttle to what Yixing had just stated. It is a fact. He did miss Chanyeol, alot.

"How could I not...He used to be always there for us, for me. He used to always guide me. I'm technically older than him but he's always protecting me. I feel so safe with him. And now..." Baekhyun trailed off, not bearing to continue as he starts to feel the ache in his heart just by touching on the topic.

"He 'betrayed' us? He's just being controlled by the Red Force. He'll be fine soon. We are going to make things go back to normal." Yixing reassured Baekhyun.

Baekhyun and Chanyeol were always best friends since childhood. One day when they were playing together, they realised something was different about them each.

One could have light being emitted from his hands while the other could produce flames on his hands.

The day they found out about the abnormality, was the day they were sent to another place, to fully develop their powers.

They were young.

They were immature.

They were scared.

Baekhyun and Chanyeol only had one another to rely on and so they did. However, the power of light was always being treated better than the power of fire.

Later on, they met with the other members, who were supposed to be with them as a team to fight against the Red Force, and they spent their teenage years together.

However, nobody could surpass the bond Chanyeol and Baekhyun have despite the different treatments they were getting.

Until one day...when the Red Force messed Chanyeol's brain up and manipulated him to be against their team, along with some other members.

"Chanyeol, I'm going to bring you back." Baekhyun sounds so determined for the first time in forever.

"Wow, Baekhyun you really are dead serious on this, aren't you?" Joonmyun said, trying to lift the tension a little.

"Well yeah. He's my best friend, my long time best friend, my- Nevermind. How could I ever afford to possibly lose him forever."

"Okay okay, cut it out. Baekhyun, get yourself armed. Red Force, we are coming." Joonmyun said.

"Hey, Baekhyun! Yixing and I have gotten all the members back already and have successfully cleared their mind from the Red Force's manipulation. We decided you should go search Chanyeol for yourself. We trust that you can do it." Baekhyun leaped at Joonmyun's words.
