Most times Viktor thought nothing of it, when his friends chose to make fun of those either less fortunate, or people who bothered them, even in the slightest disadvantage. He chose to stay back, not say a word as he gave the occasional disapproving glance to his friends. Sure, he was classified as apart of that group but- some things they did, Viktor didn't approve of.
Sometimes, even in physical altercations, the boy could only stand back and hope for the best, unless one of this friends was put in danger, in which he got involved instantaneously.
Don't get him wrong, he was very much so loyal, as well as the slightest bit intimidating with his size, and the crystal blue eyes that could gave off a cold, venomous glare. Though, for the most part, Viktor wanted to fit in properly, and he did, working his way to the top.
As the friends around him continued to hit on the two girls, the Russian's own eyes wandered, looking through the small groups of people that collected by the school, mentally labelling each one. There was the quite obvious nerds, hot girls, loners- Ah yes, /that kid/.
Blazing blue eyes followed the darker haired individual for a couple moments, watching him walk past before one of his friends looked up at, then followed his gaze. As soon as one of this friends spotted the poor Japanese kid, he nudged the others, and soon enough, like some kind of chain reaction, their attention was all grabbed towards the boy walking alone.
Viktor never thought much of the boy, though knew to avoid him whenever he was with his friends. They tended to tease him, a lot, mostly racial remarks, as well as making fun of where he lived. This boy, you could clearly tell, wasn't from the wealthier side of their town.
"Hey- Pig!" Viktor heard one of his friends call out in the boy's direction, causing the Russian to flinch before looking over at him. He gave a soft sigh, noticing how his friends eyed the boy. It was early and the blue eyed boy knew they wanted to start something, why wouldn't they?
Not much held them back anymore.
As the girls they were speaking to earlier only gave a giggle, Viktor knew his friends would be encouraged, groaning quietly as one of them finally stepped forward, right in front of the smaller Asian boy, blocking his path. "Where's your friends?" The male sneered, making sure to stay put in front of the boy so he couldn't walk away with ease. Viktor pitied the boy for what would probably happen next.

The cruel nickname elicited an aggravated eye-roll from Yuuri, who had heard the taunt far too many times to really be affected. He assumed it came around due to how his nose almost seemed to be squished against his face, upturned awkwardly, looking almost similar to a pig's. Though, he supposed a meaningless title would have been far less embarrassing. Even if he could handle the childish torment, he really did have a heart of glass under his otherwise 'tough' facade. It only took a few heartfelt insults to turn him into a sniveling mess. Though, with his gang out of sight, he knew that there was no other choice. He needed to man up, and to be strong. Or, he at least needed to seem like he was.
Growling under his breath as the small group crowded around him, a glance around proved that he was completely surrounded. If anything, the situation reminded him of something he had seen in a picture book; an antelope, surrounded by a pack of ferocious lions. Beasts. Remaining quiet for a moment, Yuuri finally let out an exasperated sigh, attempting to forcefully shove past one of the taller boys blocking his path. Why were they all built like skyscrapers?
"I don't want any trouble," He replied coolly, though could feel his heart pumping wildly in his chest. While he had never personally been ganged up on while he was alone, the Asian had heard awful stories. He truly wasn't in the mood to be battered, especially not at seven in the morning. "My friends aren't here.. So just back off." He urged in a small voice, able to feel his hands go clammy with desperation. From the amused chuckles that sounded from the group, that did not seem likely. He couldn't even look any of them directly in the eye, knowing that it would only diminish the little bit of confidence he still grasped onto.
He couldn't stand how awful some of the wealthier kids could be. For as popular as they were, would it really hurt them to carry a little sympathy instead of viciously targeting him? Yuuri knew it could be worse. He could be dark-skinned, or a homosexual of all things, but he couldn't help feeling some self-pity. Even just having one other member of his gang around would be better than being completely alone. Not to mention, surrounded.
