Yuuri visibly jolted at the sound of the classroom door clicking open, almost expecting the teacher to emerge and shout at him for having pointlessly left the classroom. Or even worse, one of those assholes who had been terrorizing him before. Though, he felt a heavy weight being lifted from his conscience when he realized it was only the same unnamed boy that he had been so actively thinking of. He noticeably took a step back when the teenager approached him so forwardly, half expecting to be socked right in the jaw from his strong gaze alone.
Luckily, he was wrong about the assumption. Listening to the indirect apology, the Japanese boy could really only manage a thoughtful shrug. As much as he appreciated the kindness, it felt a little strange that the only one who had not joined in the torment should be the one to apologize for the mistakes of his friends.
"Yeah, sure.. A little." Yuuri quipped back in response, glancing aside with a somewhat unamused expression. The remark had been laced with sarcasm, as he was still fairly untrusting of the stranger, and for many good reasons. He had no real way of telling what the individual's true intentions were. Even if the events that transpired that morning seemed like acts of genuine kindness, there was no way to tell for certain that it had not been for the sake of mocking, or tricking him instead.
"Guess you can't handle them too well either.. Like dogs without leashes." He insisted, briefly scowling at the thought of them. Yuuri normally was not one to behave spitefully. The boy normally opted to believe that everything had to happen for a reason. This normally did not leave much room for blame. Besides, he really was a bit of a pushover. While he tried to defend himself when situations got tough, he often just ended up appearing as a pawn within his gang, rather than an actual threat.
The Japanese boy let out a typical sigh, cracking his knuckles as he thought. He knew that it was stupid to think that he could just hide out in the hallway for the remainder of the school day. Hell, he doubted he could even manage that for another period. Though, skipping normally wasn't as joyful when it was done all alone. As much as he wanted to ask for some accompaniment, it seemed strange. He didn't even know the kid's name. And for all he knew, his friendly demeanor was just an act.

A low whistle escaped Viktor's mouth as the boy in front of him seemed to make a few harsh remarks about his group of friends. What was normally supposed to happen was that he was to defend those in his 'gang' from what the Japanese boy said, but hey, he wasn't wrong with his words. "You're lucky I'm not like them, or else you'd be on the floor bleeding right now." Viktor sent back his remark with a nonchalant smile, If given the chance, his friends would most definitely pound the shit out of this poor kid if they heard what he said about them.
Viktor would never even dream of it.
He guessed that's what made him a boy different then his friends, who were constantly on the search for trouble and fights, blood lusted and all, yet protected by their background. After a few seconds of thought, the Russian boy gave a nod of his head in the other direction, not wanting to hang around near the classroom any longer, in the case one of his friends really did come out.
"I'm gonna go for a smoke, you wanna come?" The platinum haired boy didn't give the other a chance to reply before speaking up again. "What's your name by the way? I wasn't there for attendance, unless you want me to start calling you piggy too." Viktor chuckled at his own words, turning the other way before beginning his way down the hall, fishing through his pocket, pulling out a silver cased lighter.
His eyes widened in realization of his earlier question, once more interrupting before the dark haired boy could properly speak out his name, remembering that he didn't exactly share it with the other. "I'm Viktor, by the way." He spoke out proudly. It did not matter if it was something that everyone in this school should know. He just wanted the young man in front of him to know.
