Hi I'm Lexi. I'm 16 years old and I go to RoseWood High. I'm short ,I have hazel brown eyes and high cheekbones. I sing,write books,read,draw,watch anime and study. Yep I know I got a pretty boring life.
My friend Sonique on the other hand didn't. She was the girl everyone wanted to be. She was average height. She had black curly thick hair, eyes so dark it almost looked black but I knew they were brown. She had chocolate brown skin and a button nose.
Her boyfriend's name was William he was the school jock. But he wasn't just a jock. He was also the top of his class. Yeah I know amazing. To me he looked more like Sonique's brother but who am a to judge. He had the same black curly hair same eyes and same nose. And he made some wicked brownies but that was a secret. Could you believe people's face and reaction when they heard that the schools captain of the football team bakes. They didn't even take the fact that he's smart very well.
Sonique had a sister. Her sister was a gamer online and a very popular one at that. She had thick black ,wavy African hair and a tiny nose she was 18 years old and had a very active love life. Her name was Skyler but everyone called her sky.
My other friend Nicolas is almost always with me because his dad works with my mom and they were actually good friends which made us spend a lot of time together and sooner or later we ended up actually talking and taking and well the rest is history. He had straight black hair,and glasses. He was taller than me now despite being a year younger than me. And had a lot of girls chasing him. Which is no surprise considering he was really REALLY cute but in a brotherly way to me.
I was walking with Nicholas to math class when ...
"This is the principle would Lexi Richards please come to the office. I repeat would Lexi Richards please come to the main office thank you"
"What did you do ?"
"Nothing I swear"
I could feel everyone's eyes burning holes through my back as I walked down the hall with Nicholas who refused to let me go on my own.
The office looked dull. The walls were painted two different colors green and yellow. There were different certificates on the wall behind the desk which was made of red oak. The chair was red and and table had different pages and stationary on it. The carpet was brown and simple. But the setting was eerie.
I wonder what I was here for.
"Miss Richards please come in. Your friend will have to wait outside."
"Okay"
I walked into the office and he closed the glass doors behind me.
"I'm sure your wondering why you're here."
"Did I do something?"
"No your record is spotless "
"So why am I here?"
"Because a new student will be entering this school soon and I need you to help him with whatever he needs. You will get him up to date and he sure he gets to class. He is in every class you're in. "
"So in other words you want me to be a babysitter?"
"Not really I want you to be ...a.....guardian I guess
"And I came in here preparing for the worst "
"So will you do it ?"
"No problem sir "
"Great he starts Monday."
"Cool how old is he?"
"He is 16. And a little reckless"
"Ok" As I walked down the hall to class with Nicholas and Sonique who met up with us I told them what happened. Sonique and Nicholas thought it sounded like babysitting just like I did.
As I was about to enter class Nicholas stopped me and asked " Am I coming over later or not ?"
"I think your supposed to. And we have that project that I'm not gonna do on my own. "
"Ok cool. See you at lunch"
"Yeah"
