Chapter 9

Warning this is a kind of sad chapter and the end of the book. I also wrote my first kissing scene. It was odd to do but I felt as thought this chapter needed it.

Eric POV

She had woken up.

Finally. It had taken her a few hours but she finally did. And now, I was nervous as hell. What would she ask. I literally just met this girl and I had already gotten her shot.

She started slowly opening her eyes and closing it again. Maybe because the light was harsh to her adjusting eyes. She slowly opened them again.When she did her eyes took one glance around the room then at me and she started panicking.

"Hey hey hey relax it's okay everything is okay your safe now" I said as I hugged her and pat her hair. The truth was I didn't know if everything was okay. I mean I hope it was.

She started sobbing in my arms as she had me in the tightest hug I've ever experienced. It was like she was scared I would disappear if she let go.

I held her like that until her sobs turned into hiccups. She looked up at me with those beautiful, innocent and a little scared eyes.

I suddenly got the urge to kiss he senselessly and being the idiot I was I didn't fight it.

My head dipped down and my lips connected to her small soft lips. She was shocked at first but she slowly started to respond. At first it was a slow kiss but that wasn't enough I wanted her I needed her.

The kiss got a little deeper as we both started breathing heavy. I licked her bottom lip clearly asking for entrance. As she opened up we both fought for dominance. Her tiny hands circled around my neck and my hands gripped her ring waist.Until unfortunately we had to stop because stupid humans needed to breath.

She was scarlet red when we broke the kiss. She bent her head so her hair could hide her face which I obviously didn't let her. I tipped her head up so she was looking directly at me.

"Wow" it was all I could say stupid idiot

"Wow" she echoed with a small smile on her face.

How is it possible for her to look even better every time.

Just as I thought everything was okay Lexi's heart monitor thing started beeping like crazy and her body started having seizures she was frothing from the mouth and her eyes were open wide and rolling to the back of her head.

I started to panic. I started screaming for the doctors like a maniac. The rushed in and pushed me out.

They closed the door behind me and started working on Lexi while I panicked outside.

Minutes felt like hours hours felt like days and still the doctors hadn't come out yet. I was getting a little antsy and a lot scared.

After what felt like a year the doctor came out of the room.

Two words

"I'm sorry"

Two more words
"She's dead"

Six words
"There was nothing we could do."

I can't believe it she was gone.
