Franklin and I spent hours and hours talking about us. He had told me how much he wanted me, how much he loved me but he had to ruin it by saying we would never work.

I guess he was right, I mean I've known him for years now and I can't expect us to start dating now it's way too late.

He stood up and looked at his watch, I knew what would follow after that. "Amber, I gotta bounce" he said looking straight into my eyes. "Oh okay, I'll see you around" I said forcing out a smile and holding back the tears that threatened to escape my eyes. It kind of hurt knowing that I didn't stand a chance of being with him, and I know that if we started dating now it would ruin our friendship. Even though I knew this, my heart couldn't help but throb.

"Amber. Look, you are an amazing girl." he said as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"You got that right sucker, I'm amazing and I don't need you" I said to myself, trying to cheer myself up.

He placed a kiss on my forehead but I wanted more than that. As if he had read my mind, his warm lips crashed into mine. "Franklin..." I called out as I pulled away from the lustful kiss we had just shared. "I don't think I can handle being friends with you anymore"

"Oh. I understand" he said with his voice so low that I barely heard him.

And just like that he was gone. Gone forever, out of my life.

One month later

I was still getting used to not having Frankie around. I missed him a lot. I would see him now and then around school. He seemed like he had moved on. Well, I don't blame him. I mean who would cry over a piece of rubbish like me?

So days turned to weeks and loneliness was killing me softly. Well that wasn't until I saw him.
He was a work of art and not a Picasso. He was too great for words. His eyes were an absolutely amazing colour, a colour I had never seen before.

A golden colour with a hint of brown. His hair neatly shaved and his voice gave me orgasm. Franklin had nothing on that guy.

"I know this sounds strange but I think I like him" I whispered into Eliza's ear. She burst out laughing at my strange idea. "You don't even know the guy's name" she said causing me to blush out of embarrassment.

"Okay tell you what, since I'm a good friend. I'll find out what his name is for you." Eliza said with a chirpy voice. "Oh thank you so much" I said jumping up and down like a three year old girl.

Now Franklin was out of my mind. Mystery boy had taken his place.
