Just when Alex got home from school, he almost sneaked up to his room.
"Your not going to play your Nintendo until you finish your homework." Alex's mom said down the stairs.
Alex sighed. "First of all, It's called an Xbox mom. Plus, I was going to do it in my room." He lied.
"Really? I think all your work is in your backpack, which is right here." She said casually pointing at the backpack next to the entrance.
So close.
He always tried to sneak in to his room, turn off the lights and play his Xbox 360 until his parents noticed he was home. Alex was a not so athletic 13 year old (He wanted to be called a 14 year old since his birthday was in a few weeks) who did nothing much except play video games. He had a small assortment of video games, for two reasons. The fact that he had a specific taste in games, and the fact that he had to purchase his own games. His most favorites were Minecraft, Call of Duty, and Portal 2. They all involved thinking, and reacting.
"Just do your homework on the table, then you could play. The more you complain, the less time you get to play." His mom said.
Alex rolled his eyes and sat down at the dining table, were he usually did his work. He was glad to see that he only had math homework. Math was his best subject than any other, but he frowned, being reminded of how much homework he received.
No time to waste he thought to himself. He pulled out his pencil and got to work.
After an agonizing half hour, he finally finished an closed his notebook. Alex showed his mom, who was vacuuming the carpet. She sighed and nodded her head. Alex packed all his things in the backpack, put his chrome book to charge, and dashed upstairs, almost tripping on the last step.
A lot of things in my Minecraft hunger games had to be fixed, and people are already asking to play it, He thought. Alex turned his Xbox on, signed in to his account, and put in his Minecraft disc. After that, everything went wrong.
It started to make noises that he never expected to come from it. The TV screen was full of static and numbers came showed up at random.
"Why are you doing this know?' He snapped. "You were fine like three seconds ago!" Alex was a calm person. But today, he just wasn't in the mood to be fighting with his Xbox. Out of rage, Alex slammed his fist on the top of the console leaving the echo of a loud "thud". For a brief second, everything seemed to pixelate in front if his eyes, like when you put your fingertip in water. How ripples form around it, resonating. The lights flickered, Alex's vision was impaired, and then everything went black.
