Power Chapter 3

"What are you doing here?" Alex asked.

"We'll you know, out in the neighborhood just taking a stroll. What do you think?" Olivia was the same age as Alex but a millimeter taller than him, and he didn't like that. She had long black hair and her favorite "Attack on Titan" T-Shirt, with raggedy jeans. What Alex liked about her was the fact that she didn't dress to impress.

"I was at home watching the first season of Pokemon on Netflix, and my mom was in the kitchen making our lunch. She came to the living room and-" Olivia paused. Alex could see the sadness in her eyes. "She disappeared. Pixelated away. Gone, right in front of my eyes."

"She just like, pixelated away, like faded out? Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"After seeing that do you think I would instantly want to rush to my friends house?" She snapped back.

Alex didn't say anything. Loosing his mom and dad made him feel terrible, but he didn't experience the loss like Olivia did.

"I kinda cooled down, and I thought it would be a good idea to check up on you, because God only knows what you would be doing."

"Wow thanks," Alex said in sarcasm.

Olivia lived on the other side of Tahoe near the Malibu park, and that was two minutes away from his house.

"Since we're picking people up, lets go to the park. There's someone that might help us."

"Who are you going to get? Your the only person I know who's you know, the same age," Olivia said, clearly confused.

"Well, he's our age and practically lives near you. He lives like right in front of Malibu park. Ill tell you more once we get there." Alex looked at the road that led them to the park. He was sure that Jordan could help them. If it was about survival, he was the number one person to go to.
