I rolled my eyes for the fourth time in a row at the sound of my phone rings buzzing through my car. Since my last night's encounter with Zach at the party, he had called me at least twenty times aside from the texts he had been sending through the whole night, telling me he was sorry for trying to forcefully kiss me and that he was drunk.
But I chose to ignore him as I was sick of dealing with him and his endless stupid actions and turned on my car's radio as I drove to my college, the slight breeze that came through my car's window gently riffling my hair as I approached my university's gate.
My phone ringed once again as I passed through the gate, heading towards the campus' parking lot. Irritatingly, I reached my hand to grab my phone in an attempt to stop the annoying sound coming from it, but dropped it instead under my car's seat. Huffing in annoyance, I bent down slightly to grab it not paying attention to where I was driving my car.
Someone suddenly appeared in front of my car's front window as I gripped my steering wheel, slamming on the brakes to slow down the car, my car making a loud screeching noise just before I could hit the person.
I quickly swung my car's door open, rushing towards the guy I almost hit, my heart leaped up at the thought of hurting him. And there stood right before my eyes, the famous Theo, a startled look on his face.
"Oh my god, I am so s-- sorry. I didn't see you."I stuttered, my heart pounding in my chest, as I took a step closer. "Are you okay? Were you hurt?"I babbled, my eyes studying his body to check if he was fine.
"Safe and sound."He reassured, raising both of his palms up to my face, gesturing me to stop overly panicking. He paused for a second before he spoke again,"But take it as an advice, don't drive a car again unless you wanna run over someone's body the next time."He mocked me, letting out a sarcastic smirk, his eyes twinkling with humor.
"Ha ha, you're so funny."I commented, sarcasm in my voice, rolling my eyes at his remark.
"Yeah, I have been told this a lot."He boasted, sliding both of his hands on his waist, a playful smug on his face.
"Sure, you are."I mumbled, rolling my eyes at him, as his eyes stared amusingly at me, a smile not leaving his lips.
"Hey, don't get so offended. It's just the bitter truth you should try to accept and stop driving for the sake of humanity."He continued to tease me, seemingly enjoying it.
"Well, believe it or not, I actually drive very well so please do me a favor and keep your advice to yourself."I protested, throwing him a cheeky smile.
"Whatever you say."He scoffed, running his fingers through his hair.
There was a moment of silence and I decided to speak, breaking it."So,"I began, "I haven't seen you around before in campus."I mentioned.
"Yeah, obviously. I have been living abroad for a while so when I had to come back to the country again, I had to transfer universities to attend my last year of college here."Theo informed me as I looked curiously at him, taking in what he was telling me.
"Interesting."I said, my head full of a ton other questions to ask him. "So, you study and work at the same time?"I questioned, bitting my lip for sounding so nosy but to be honest, I was just so curious to know more about him.
"Yeah."He mumbled, and I stood before him trying to hold myself back from asking him any more questions. Assumingly, he noticed that I was eager to know more as he cleared his throat and opened his mouth to speak.
"Well,"He began,"Since my father has passed away, my uncle has been the one paying for my college fees."He declared, showing a hint of sorrow at the mention of his father's death. "So, I felt the need to work in order to afford money by myself."He explained, as I nodded my head.
