It had been a few days now since I last saw him. I waited everyday for him to show up on campus but he never did. I searched for him everywhere but I never saw him. I didn't know why he was doing this, suddenly disappearing with no explanation or a reason why.

I didn't know if I was angry at him for leaving without a word, or angry at myself for getting attached so quickly to a guy I had just met. I knew there was totally nothing between us but deep in my heart, I still felt like he owed me an explanation for why he chose to unexpectedly disappear.

I was at campus silently leaning with my elbow on the bench I was sitting on, my eyes glazed over and staring off into the space as Ava sat on the other side next to me as I studied the faces of the people getting out of the building's door a few feet away from us, yet again hoping that Theo's familiar face would belong to one of them.

Ava took a deep breath, sighing before she shifted in her seat and opened her mouth to speak.

"You still haven't heard from him?"She asked me, her eyes focused on me. I shook my head and sighed as I gazed into the distance.

"Ana, I didn't know that Zach was coming to the party. If I knew, I would've told you for sure."She defended. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen."She continued, a hint of guilt on her face.

"Ava, it's not your fault. You have nothing to do with this."I told her.

"I bet one of his lads who were at the party told him you were there."She guessed, huffing in annoyance. "I don't really know when that guy is gonna leave you alone. He need to stop following you everywhere acting as if like you're his goddamn girlfriend."She grumbled.

"The fact that he causes trouble everywhere I go and still expect me to be with him drives me crazy."I sneered. She let out a sigh, looking away to the distance as my mind crept back to Theo.

I just wanted to know what was going on with him. I needed to talk to him and that wasn't gonna happen if I sat in my place and waited for him to show up, just like I did for the past days. My mind wondered about the places where I could find him in and out of all, I was surprised that I didn't actually search for him at the coffee shop.

I mentally hit myself on the head for not thinking about going there all that time and just stupidly kept searching for him in one place and in a matter of seconds, I was up on my feet and sliding my bag on my shoulder.

"Where are you going?"Ava asked, her eyebrows knitted together.

"If I really wanted to talk to Theo then I have to find him."I told her, quickly turning on my heels and rushed towards my car.

Minutes later, I pulled up in front of the familiar coffee shop. I stepped out of the car and closed the door behind me, rushing to the coffee shop's door in hopes of finding Theo this time. I stepped inside, my eyes scanning everyone in the place only searching for him. I walked around looking for him through all the waiters who were taking the people's orders.

I decided to wait for a couple of minutes for him to show up only ending up disappointed when he did. I decided to ask one of the waiters about him and headed to the first one my eyes landed on.

"Excuse me, may I ask you about something?"I spoke as the guy turned around to face me after taking one of the customer's order.

"Sure."He said, nodding his head and waited for me to talk.

"That guy, his name is Theo. He works here. Is it possible that you know when his shift is?"I asked him. He raised his eyebrows at me and it took him a moment before he spoke again.
