Sonnet 101: Empty with no Thee

Nothing more my life shalt be filled with by

If my feet wandered away from Thee

And spread against Thee my wings too flee,

"Empty! Empty!" Will I mourn and say.

Like a pail which holds no water,

An Egypt's Nile which if rivers will inhabit not,

And the marines that had ran out by the seas

Will my inside be a cavity with no Thee.

If my back would face Thy grace and love,

I am a fool who resist riches more than golds;

It is Thee that I want to be beside I

And to overflow my nothing-filled cup.

So let my feet and wings be towards Thee;

To be empty not, may Thy help fall on me.
