"I will destroy you in the most beautiful way and when I leave you will finally understand why storms are named after people"

Those were Charlotte's last words before she escaped from that place

9 years later they found her

And they won't make the same mistakes

Uneven breaths were leaving my mouth, whether they were from running for so long or from fear, I did not know. Taking a deep and long breathe, I tilted my head back and looked up at the sky. Treacherous tears were trying to escape from the corner of my eyes. If this was how it was supposed to end I wanted to at least be brave and stop running away. As if the sky felt the same emotions that were running through my veins, it thundered. A sole tear ran through my cheek and as if on queue it started raining. At this point I didn't know if my face was wet due to the tears or if it was because of the rain. Either way it didn't matter. This was going to end.

"Turn around", the voice said.

My feet were rooted to the ground with my eyes closed still facing the sky.

"I said turn around", the voice said through gritted teeth.

I did as I was told but I still faced the sky. I couldn't bring myself to look at the eyes of who will soon bring darkness into my life.

"Look at me", the voice repeated.

I slowly dragged my eyes down from the sky to my attacker. I was looking but not directly at him. I avoided his face and focused on the clearing of trees that was behind him.

"Look at ME", the voice said emphasising the word me.

This time I shut my eyes, took a deep breath and open them. My brown eyes met piercing grey eyes. I gasped out loud at the sight in front of me. My body shook violently from shock. He still didn't move. He didn't trigger the gun or anything. Confusion must have been written in my face. What he said next was what made me sweat in fear.
