❝ i really hope the universe fights for souls to be together. ❞

As far as Aera knew, she lived in a world that wasn't meant to exist, or at least a world that was never supposed to involve her. The world itself was too complicated and the people in it was just as so. Hell, she was complicated as well, and not in a good way. But the world she lived in was made up of intricate designs that had secrets hidden in each detail.

She sighed before opening the bottle of Advil and popping two of the pills into her mouth before swallowing it dry. She sank into her seat and propped her feet up onto the desk, but the minute her shoes touched the surface she was slapped on her ankles. Dokyun glared at her as he pointed at her feet with his baton.

Aera cursed his name under her breath as she retracted her feet off the table. She threw her head back and groaned out of annoyance, "First off, today is my day off, so Jaeho better have a good reason on why he called us all here. Secondly, don't touch me like that. I can easily beat your ass without even blinking."

Kyungil, who stood near the door, snorted before leaning against the wall with his arms folded across his chest. "Calm down, we're all not happy to be here, especially on our day off. But can the two of you refrain from fighting? That's the last thing we all need right now."

Dokyun scoffed as he looked away with his arms crossed against his chest. He mumbled under his breath as he tried justifying himself, "It's her fault, not mine. She's acting up again and it's all because she and Yijeong broke up — again."

"My relationship is none of your business," Aera snapped back as she stood up from her chair. She scoffed at Dokyun's mocking expression of her before slamming her hand down on the table. "And actually, I broke up with him."

"Wow, now doesn't that make you feel all high and mighty like you always?"

      "Shut the fu — "

Kyungil sighed before stepping in between the two. Unfortunately it was right when Dokyun was going to push Aera back and Aera was raising her foot to kick him. He was the recipient on both ends. He sucked in his cheeks and stifled in a groan, "Can Jaeho or Yijeong hurry up? Why do you guys always have to fight?"

"She's the reason why Taeyeon was transferred out of our team!" Dokyun exclaimed as he referred to Aera as if she wasn't even in the room. The younger girl rolled her eyes and huffed out a breath in disbelief. "Oh don't huff at me!"

"Okay, we all know Taeyeon is better than all of us combined. So why would she stay with us in the first place?" Aera questioned as she shot Dokyun a knowing glare. She sighed before flipping her hair over her shoulders, "And, our team? Last time I checked you were just the healer."
